23.01.2022 Babes, we are ready for you! The studio has been cleaned from top to bottom and as always will continue to be spotless. Weve all completed COVID-19 training and are also implementing the following to ensure everyone is kept safe and healthy: Everyone will receive a link to a form to fill in with their confirmation text or email. This form needs to be completed PRIOR to you coming in to see us. No form = no appointment. Please ensure you come to your appointment alone, ...no plus ones under any circumstances. This includes babies/children, apologies for any inconvenience however we need to minimise the amount of people in our space. You will be asked to wash your hands in our 2nd beauty room before you sit down. There is hand sanitizer on each mani table and at the front desk for you to use before you leave. Please come on time to your appointment, not early or late. Should you need to wait, the waiting area bench is outside the studio, we ask that you take a seat and well call you in once we are ready for you. All mani tables have been separated and we ask that you practice safe social distancing by leaving 1.5m between yourself and other clients in the studio at the same time as you. Were allowing 15 mins between each client so that there is minimal crossover and we have enough time to sanitize each work station etc ready for the next client. Where possible, please pay by card and not cash. And it goes without saying - if you are feeling unwell, please cancel your appointment. Late cancellation fees wont apply in these instances. 15.01.2022 Babes, hopefully this video helps when youre trying to book some nail art online. Nail art cant be booked on its own, its an add on to a gel mani (we dont do nail art with regular polish). Were finding that were booking out 3-4 weeks in advance, longer for after hours. So if you want to book online its best to be organisedYou can always shoot us a text or give us a call if youre unsure!

14.01.2022 Long post incoming! Ok guys, lets talk about peeling/picking your gel polish offWe totally understand that sometimes picking or peeling can happen when you might be feeling anxious/stressed or you might not even realize youre doing it, but it is sooooo bloody bad for your nails. You are literally removing layers and layers of your nails, making them thinner, and therefore creating damage that can take weeks to grow out. Then when you come in to see us again, your next mani... probably wont last as long as it should because your nails arent in optimum condition for the gel polish to adhere to. Your gel polish might start to lift and then the picking/peeling cycle starts again. We can only do so much when prepping your nails in the studio. Its up to you to care for them at home. So, a couple of tips that may help: Apply a good quality cuticle oil every day - Ill do a separate post on why its so good for your nails! If youre feeling anxious/stressed and want to pick, get up and move around, take some deep breaths, use a stress ball! Anything to take your mind off the urge to pick! If you do get any lifting, use some little clippers or a nail file to remove the polish thats annoying you then LEAVE the rest till you can come in and see us for proper removal. Book regular appointments so that youre not leaving it too long, then theres less chance of your gel polish lifting (as its designed to last 2 weeks). Every 2/3 weeks is ideal. If you cant get in that often, book a removal on its own. Well gently and properly remove your gel polish for you leaving your nails in perfect condition ready for when you can get your next mani. We genuinely care about keeping your nails strong and healthy so dont be surprised if were not mad, but disappointed if you tell us youve picked your gel off I really hope this info helpsRG @thebalitailor

10.01.2022 2020. What a ride. The biggest lesson I learnt and put into practice this year is to be truly grateful. And bloody hell, I have so much to be grateful for. Thank you to all our clients for rallying around us, this year especially. I personally have never felt more supported which was such a blessing when we were flailing about in the unknown for a little while there, 3 months to be exact... I seriously have the best team, each one of my girls brings something different to the table and I know that’s why we’ve created the amazing little community we have.
