25.01.2022 This is exactly what I am doing at the moment! I recently had a chat with the Board at the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber where I have been contracting for the past 2 and a bit years with House on the Hill Marketing, and I have made the decision to move on from the Chamber once my current contract ends at the start of October! Working for the Chamber has been an absolute blessing, it was the home I needed when I moved back to Wagga and dealing with a range of... health issues plus it has been a constant joy to interact with members (some who are now good friends) and as you all know my passion lies in events so being able to run multiple events per month, I was in my element. But, it's time for me to spread my wings and move on to other challenges and opportunities both professionally and personally. My books are now open for new projects which is both terrifying and exciting. To the Business Chamber, I thank you for trusting me with your organisation and allowing me to grow throughout my time with you. And to everyone I have met along the way, thank you for your support, your advice and your friendship. Onto a new beginning, one with a stronger focus on my own business. See more

The Now's The Time To Love NSW campaign toolkit is now available to download from Destination NSW’s corporate website, along with the campaign fact sheet.... The industry fact sheet includes a campaign overview with how to get involved while the toolkit for tourism businesses includes campaign messaging, creative examples and logos. A library of custom Love NSW GIPHY stickers for Instagram and Facebook Stories has also been created (pictured). 22.01.2022 Who is ready for another week ?

22.01.2022 Today I was back in the office after a week off work, feeling refreshed and actually happy to be working again. I thought I would share with you the most IMPORTANT thing that this control freak learnt last week - the world does NOT stop spinning if you take time out to rest and allow other people to help you!! I guess I always knew it, but I genuinely love my job and I love working so I work HARD, and I tend to be an over achiever, whic...h is great for my clients but not always so great for me! So, I will now be starting work at a regular time each day and not rushing in the mornings (unless I have a special early client meeting of course), I’ll be taking a full 30 minute lunch break *away* from the computer and I’ll be shutting up my laptop by 5:30pm (unless I have an event, prior engagement)!! Loving what you do is great, but I started my business so I could have more flexibility and take better care of myself and I went sooooo backwards, so moving into 2021 I’m setting some new habits and aiming for much less burn out and much happier clients!! 21.01.2022 With events slowly starting back up again we are beginning to network with new and potential clients face to face. Remember when networking and "selling" your products and services that the customer wants to know the outcome - how can your product / service enhance their life by purchasing it!! Be generous, be kind, be authentic and most of all when you are out at an event be safe.

17.01.2022 Today I headed over to Leeton for some @becbusinessadvice client meetings and to catch up with the team over there!! What a trip it was with all the rain and flash flooding!! Ultimately it was a great day, I loved being in Leeton and plan on spending more time over there over the coming months!! ... Where is your favourite place to travel for work?

16.01.2022 And just like that my time at the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber has come to an end!! I have been contracting to the Chamber for over 2 years and today was my final day. I always have such mixed feelings when contracts end, sadness - because of the lovely people I have worked with and had the pleasure of getting to know, and my genuine LOVE for the Chamber and it's members. And, also excitement - because I am moving into another role I love with BEC Business... Advice and it means I can also open my books up to new and exciting challenges. I have loved my time with the Chamber and wish the board and new Business Manager, Serena the absolute best of luck, I can't wait to see how the Chamber grows under new leadership. 08.01.2022 Do you have a plan? Something I have noticed throughout my career is people having AMAZING event ideas but they don't seem to work out and most of the time it is because of poor planning. You need a strategy and a task list and a plan to run a successful event! Now is the perfect time to be creating said plans for when we can run events again.

When dealing with online marketing productivity is key, otherwise you will fall down the rabbit hole (not that it's always a bad thing to do, unless you're extremely busy of course).
