22.01.2022 Yesterday I visited the Waverley Woollen Mills in Launceston and toured the working factory. The Waverley Woollen Mills has operated continuously in its original site at the end of Waverley Road since 1874. It has survived a depression, two world wars, recessions and the collapse of much of our manufacturing industry. In the 146 years of its operation it has employed many Tasmanians and produced quality local products. Regional manufacturing jobs like those at the Waverley Woollen Mills are not just a part of our past, they are our future. Thank you to David Farley and all the staff for your hospitality.

08.01.2022 Every job matters. Labor’s number one priority is to create jobs and to get more people into secure and stable work, while giving small businesses the skills they need to grow and succeed. Labor will always back local, buy local and employ local. http://taslabor.com/labors-plans-to-put-people-first/
