11.01.2022 This guy! How do we even find the right words.... you’ve probably seen him wander in from the vineyard when you visit Cellar Door, sweaty and dusty from yet another hard day at work. Ian is Tom’s Dad and together they work countless hours making sure this family owned business will be here for generations to come. 22 years ago Ian and the family planted the vineyard you now see behind cellar door and our vineyard at Charleston. Ian was away visiting family last year when the ...fire ripped through our Charleston vineyard and when he returned you can only imagine the heartbreak of seeing his beloved vineyard gone up in smoke. He instantly pulled up his sleeves and worked RELENTLESSLY (with the help of a few chocolate donuts from the Lobethal bakery) to repair the vineyard that he had planted 22yrs ago. Ian is without doubt the hardest working person at Howard Vineyard he just does not stop. His dedication and hard work will ensure Howard Vineyard is a South Australian family owned business for generations to come! 07.01.2022 2018 Amos Chardonnay 2018 was a warmer, dry and low yielding vintage. Hand picked fruit from our Charleston Vineyard which sits at almost 500m in altitude in the beautiful @adelaidehillswine ... Planted in 1997. Whole bunch fermented, free run juice only goes directly in fine French oak. Naturally fermented, natural malo lactic ferment. The wine is then barrel aged for 12 months and bottled aged for a further 6 before release. Citrus, peach and white blossoms, rich and textured with great natural acidity. Enjoy @wise_gnome
