24.01.2022 ~ full head with extensions ~ Today marks the finial day of my @seienstyle course! here is my last assignment done and dusted! Thank you to all my beautiful clients that have shown me so much patience during this course, thank you for the on going support and allowing me to express myself through doing your hair. I wouldn't be where I am today without you guys. If there's anything I've learnt from this course, its to stick to your goals, even if you feel like you won't get there, practice, take your time. 21.01.2022 ~ Dreadlock Maintenance ~ Thank you for trusting me with your hair once again! Today I neated up Rods dreadlocks that I reattached a few months ago. Rod cut his beloved dreadlocks off and regretted it, it took a while for him to find someone that was willing to attached his natural locks back to his head. And then he found me! I created medium sectioning to match the thickness the locks already have and to minimise the risk of the root becoming thinner then the mid-lengths ...and ends! 18.01.2022 ~ Maintenance ~ Today I had the pleasure of fixing up Lydia's hair, her dreadlocks were made with an interlocking technique, but i have maintained using the seienstule method. The reason I dont like interlocking is it can be bad for your dreadlocks, it can create uneven dreadlocks, weak spots, and if done too tight can cause a lot of pain to the scalp. Using the @seienstyle method has actually stretched Lydia hair out and made it longer and thinner dreadlocks then before. I love playing around with different textures and seeing how this technique can be done on any texture hair.

17.01.2022 ~ Maintenance ~ Now that's its getting hot it's so important to let your scalp breathe. Alot of scalp irritation is from the heat making your scalp sweat and when our dreadlocks aren't maintained the air isn't likely to reach the scalp. There's heaps of refreshing spray out there that can help sooth an irritated scalp, but the best thing is to have your sectioning clean and tidy dm to book your maintenance

16.01.2022 ~ New dreadlocks ~ I've been absolutely loving doing all these top knot dreadies, they're so much fun to create especially the triangle sectioning patterns! Triangle sectioning doesn't just look cool, it creates an even pattern on the scalp for the dreadlocks to fall, you can fit more dreadlocks on your head using triangle sectioning oppose to squares. 10.01.2022 ~ Maintenance + Extenders ~ Courtney came to me in February to kick start her dread journey, we started off with a few rows and within a few months Courtney decided it was time to take the full leap and get a full head! With the shrinkage that comes along with this journey we decided it would look awesome to add some length, and here it is!! We spent 8 hours creating this and im so happy with it! Extensions offer natural looking length and thinkness to your dreadlocks and can totally transform a look! Thank you for sitting so well and for your awesome company Swipe for before photos

10.01.2022 ~ New dreadlocks ~ My client requested thin dreadlocks with added extensions for length and volume, I added a mixture of lighter extensions and darker ones dyed by the most wonderful Avril at @growthsalon. I normally add the extensions as I go however we didn't have then on hand so it was actually really cool to do the full thing first and then go back in with the extensions and compare the with and without extension photos. Makes such a big difference!

09.01.2022 ~ Appointments ~ ~ UPDATE 2020 FULLY BOOKED ~ Well I must say 2020 has tested all of us, with alot of drama and uncertain feelings this year has given most of us a massive battle. We can only work together as a community to help the world be good again. Im so thankful for all of my supporters that has continued to trust me with your locks throughout this messy year. Im thankful for all my model clients for my course, I would not be where I am without YOU! As much as this ye...ar has sucked, it's also shown us what is important, and what isn't. 09.01.2022 ~ Maintenance ~ Another dreallet in the making! Andy has been growing the back of his hair so we can make it into dreadlocks, we want a little bit more length so we can have a real muttet effect! Today I've just neated up his existing dreadlocks as well as taken some length off. Andy is one of my favs, Jemma and I had the pleasure of locking up his hair when he was in highschool, we maintained his hair for his formal and have now seen him go through college, and grow into the kind man he is. 06.01.2022 ~ Maintenance ~ Needless to say the mullets are coming back in.. but a dreallet, now that's just too cool! I've neated up these home made dreadies for my client, these dreadlocks are going through a shrinking/tightening stage that happens when using certain methods of dreadlocking, the hair comprises into it self creating a tight rope texture dreadlock, because Paul's dreadlocks are shorter they want to bunch up more because of the lack of weight of the dreadlock. 04.01.2022 ~ Maintenance + extenders ~ Neated up Nick's mohawk dreadlocks as well as some added length! We've used a slightly lighter shade of brown and it has created a seamless blend between his natural colour and the extensions. Now small dread buns can happen and he can tie then up our of his face! Woo winning
