25.01.2022 This weeks build were a pair of 7'3" Bream Boss Long cast built for Jason Kerrison. This model is built on 2-4kg High modules blank, with Fuji SKSS seats (Matagi Painted) and full Fiji Titanium Sic guides in a micro guide train. This rod retails for $530 with the Sic's or $480 with Titanium alconites.
25.01.2022 Hey Guy's, I've just been going through the shed and have decided I have Waaaaay to many rods so I have decided to run a bit of a Stocktake sale over the next month or so to thin them out a bit. The rods I will be selling will be mainly used rods from my personal collection, prototype rods that will be near new the odd factory second (any faults will be clearly explained) and the odd brand new rod. To make it fair on everyone I have decided to auction them on ebay that way I ...don't get bombarded with all the I was in first and guys that commit only to never end up paying. All the second hand rods will start at $1.00 that way you guys get to chose what you want to pay for it based on the description and photos I have provided. The Normal retail price of the rod is clearly marked in the description as is my honest assessment of the condition of the rod. The auctions will be short (Only 3 Days) I hope to put up a rod a week for the next few weeks all going well. The first rod I'm auctioning is a 5'9" 3-5kg Cod stopper. 24.01.2022 Hey guys, sorry for the lack of posting here lately, we have been absolutely flat out! I thought I'd share this interesting full custom build I recently finished for a client. Built on our High modules 6'9" 5-7kg Barra blank we incorporated a full carbon handle and foregrip. While the look may not be for everyone the carbon is super light, giving you a "direct hand on blank feel" that amplifies the overall sensitivity Of hge rod ten fold. Finished off with titanium Torzite Stripping guide and top with Recoil wire frames in between it makes for one it the most light weight sensitive Barra rods going round.

24.01.2022 I want to send out a huge congratulations to Howler Custom Rods pro staff member Steve Gill for taking out his maiden ABT win on the Derwent River over the weekend. Steve took his huge bag of 11.65kg using the 7' foot 1-3kg Bream Finesse Rods one of lightest Rods in the Howler line up. Well done again mate, it was a well deserved win!

21.01.2022 A big congratulations to both the Howler teams fishing the Bream Classic grand final the past two days. Both teams finished in the top half of the field with Shane Ling and Greg Woods (team Howler Custom Rods) fishing a very respectable 13th and Grant Stingle and Steve Bond (Team Howler Nano series) finishing a not so shabby 33rd out of nearly 70 teams! 21.01.2022 Check out this full custom 6'8" 4-7kg FRS Barra Boss I Just completed for Nick in QLD. I personally loved the tapered shape of the full cork rear grip as Nick suggested. You'll be seeing allot more of this style grip on many of my rods to come.

17.01.2022 Check out this pic of Jake from Weflick fishing from his recent trip up north. He's locked into a GT on the Howler 2-5kg FRS Bass Boss. For a rod with such a finesse tip it has insane power through the butt! Nice work Jake!

13.01.2022 After receiving dozens of messages over the weekend regarding the Carbon fiber grips I thought I'd post up a little more info about them. The grips are available in two styles, the full handle grip with carbon foregrip as shown on Friday and a split grip incorporated into a Fiji Skeleton reel seat. To give you an idea of the how little these grips weigh the full handle was built on our High Modules 7' foot 5-9kg Barra blank, the total built weight comes in at 130 grams. The split grip was built on our 7'2" 4-7kg light Barra spin blank. The total built weight comes in at 103 grams!! That makes for two insanely light Barra rods!! Cheers
10.01.2022 Phenix K2 Blank with a Andrews Flat faced reel seat and custom split carbon grips. This is seriously one of the nicest rods I have ever felt!! Enjoy....... (Apologies for the grainy pic's, kids have been playing with the camera and had wound up the ISO!)

06.01.2022 The Rocket Launcher!! This 7'6', 2-5kg, 2 piece FRS Trout Boss is destined for the wind swept Western lakes district of Victoria. With a cast weight of 1-12 grams it has to be one of the most versatile land based trout rods going around. From finesse casting un weighted plastics to lobbing Tassie Devils or Crocodiles into oblivion and beyond this rod covers all bases. For a 7'6" rod it is extraordinarily light and super sensitive through the tip but has the balls through the back and down low to cast a mile and pull the teeth out the largest trout. 06.01.2022 The Silent Assassin.... Just finished a 6'10, 2-5kg Trout Boss matched to a 2500 Stella for Zoran. The rod is set to be given a good work out in the Snowy Mountain rivers over the next 6 weeks. Good luck with it mate. Cheers

05.01.2022 A Big Congratulation to the three Howler teams that competed in the Tasmanian Trout Classic on the weekend. All 3 teams managed to finish inside the top 5!! Justin Causby and Tim Lowe (Team Howler/Tonic) finished First place after being 6th place on day one they stormed home with a massive 34 fish bag from Arthurs Lake!! 04.01.2022 Congratulations to Howler Custom Rods pro staffer Grant Stingel for his Second placing as a non boater in the weekend ABT Grand final. The placing capped of a Stella year for Grant who also won the non boater in the Derwent qualifying round and took out a second placing in the Ansons Bay Kayak comp. Not a bad effort for the 3 individual comps he fished this year! Well done again mate, we look forward to the 2014 season.
