22.01.2022 Hobby related stuff day! Today we are sorting through all your hobby related stuff. No matter what your hobby or passion is, today is the day to declutter and clean where you store these items. Also, today will be a good day to catch up on any other day you may have missed or not quite finished yet.... How it all works: Each week a new challenge will be posted, you don't have to do the challenge on that day, you can come back to complete it at any time. Don't feel bad if you want to skip a day, you can always try again another day or the next challenge. Steps: Bring everything out of cupboards, boxes and containers and also find items that belong in this category from other areas. Look at all the similar items, can you get rid of some duplicates? Are some things trash in disguise? What do you hate or have no use for? Do you need to replace anything? If so, pop it on your replacement list. Tidy everything back into your spaces neatly and store like items together. Replacement List: Ensure you keep a running list of items that need replacing or buying as you complete this challenge. I'd love you to report back after you have completed the challenge and show us your new tidy spaces. Everyone loves some inspiration! If you are having trouble with the steps or want more detailed information, check out my book http://www.howtobemoreorganised.com.au/the_book.html. Ready? Set? Let's go!

08.01.2022 Create a menu plan for the week in advance. Write out the days of the week and then next to each one, write down what you will cook for dinner that night. Then shop for only the groceries you need for that week.
06.01.2022 Such a simple yet effective guide to organise life. I love that the tips range from business to family, and I especially love that the systems save time (and money). With a few example photos it would be a 5 star for me, but a great and easy to read guide. Pretty Wee Things http://apple.co/1WGXU6e

05.01.2022 An in depth and comprehensive book on organising your home, office and how to update and manage the systems you may already have in place. I highly recommend this for anyone who desires to be more organised but needs step by step instruction. Lena Turvey is upbeat and easy to understand and is never condescending. Fabulous read. It will remain in my library. Cindy Lou http://bit.ly/1WGYfWj

02.01.2022 Would you like to be on time, every time? So you've heard of and probably used calendars to manage your time, right? Do you take full advantage of them? For instance, after you put in an appointment to your calendar, do you put a reminder on there? Do you build in travel time either side of your appointment? Do you include the address of where you need to go and the phone number and contact name?... When putting in a buffer (or including travel time or down time between appointments) into your calendar, you not only allow yourself the extra time you may need but you also allow for small pockets of breathing room throughout the day. Are you one of those people who are always late to appointments? Try allowing for your "lateness" by building in extra time. Appointment is at 10am? Set yourself up to arrive a 9.45am. Set your reminders to go off half an hour before, 15 minutes before and at the time of the appointment to ensure you are keeping yourself on track. Another key tip is to time yourself doing tasks and build that into your calendar/schedule. For instance, does it take you 12 minutes to walk the kids to school? Build that in and set your reminders to go off accordingly. Ensuring you use the tools you have at your disposal to manage your time is something you can start doing today and the pay off will continue as long as you continue to use your tools. So if you haven't been using your calendar to the best advantage, why don't you give it a try the very next time you input an appointment? How about trying it out right now? I'd love to know how you went, which tips did you put into practice? Do you wish you were more organised? Are you way too busy and stressed out? If you are looking to get your life better organised, you've come to the right place. Every week you I will post ways for you to become more organised and productive right here. Want to get organised and more productive right now? You can purchase the book from all good online bookstores or go to the website www.howtobemoreorganised.com.au and follow the links to purchase via iTunes, Amazon, Google Play or Kobo.
