25.01.2022 At Hoxton Tutoring, students are required to sit a test after the completion of every topic in class. This is to promote healthy study habits, familiarise students with exam conditions, as well as to ensure students are striving for their personal best. Students are expected to study diligently for their test, as a mark of 90% is needed to pass. Students who do not achieve this will re-do their exam at home, until they are comfortable and familiar with the topic. In our experience, all students who practised for their tests achieved great results! Good luck in your studies this year!

24.01.2022 We would like to congratulate Lilian (featured right) on her hard work and achievements! .... English was one of my weakest subjects during my junior years of school. I have always been a hard worker, but like many students, I found the initial progression to Senior School English difficult. The writing styles were different, and It required a whole different approach. ... My experience at Hoxton Park Tutoring centre was extremely positive. I had a great tutor- Juno- who made studying the English HSC very achievable. She regularly critiqued my essays and speeches to help me improve my writing, and also provided prompt feedback to the practice questions I would provide. With the help of my tutor, I achieved a Band 5 in English Standard this year. I have also been accepted into my first preference for University! Thank you, Hoxton Tutoring, for your support.
24.01.2022 Congratulations to all our students for completing Term 2! Our students have been working extremely hard this term and we are proud of all their achievements. Term 3 will begin on Monday, the 23rd July. If you have any enquiries, please contact us through Facebook or via our email [email protected] Have a great Holiday!
22.01.2022 We are proud to be sharing the reflections of our students, after the conclusion of the HSC, 2019. Below we have a humbling reflection from our student, Tara. ... ... I am really grateful for my experience at Hoxton Park Tutoring Centre, which I was able to utilise for the most important time of my student life: the HSC. Ive always had a dislike towards maths, and as my results began steadily dropping during my senior school, I realised that I needed help outside of my school teachers. This is when I turned to the Hoxton Park Tutoring Centre. I really benefited from attending tutoring lessons there each week. They had extensive resources and covered topics at a much faster rate than what I was learning at school. However, my tutors always ensured I understood the content. I was able to go to school the next day and think, "I already know this because Ive learnt it in tutoring"; it was a confidence boost that I never thought I could have. Theres no doubt in my mind that without my tutoring I wouldnt have achieved the results that I ended up with. My HSC results were a high band 5 in Mathematics and an E3 in Extension 1 Maths. Although the results are far from perfect, I am so happy and pleased by them. They are definitely a testament to the hard work of my tutors. Tara (featured right), with her Extension 1 Mathematics Tutor, Lalitha.
21.01.2022 As we begin our new term, we would like to thank our student Joseph for his positive feedback. Congratulations Joseph and great work! We wish you all the best in your future studies ! ....... My Tutors, Patrick and Lalitha were helpful and inspiring, allowing me to develop my confidence in Mathematics. The classes were very enjoyable. I not only enjoyed the lessons from my tutors but the interaction and discussions with other students, which allowed me to think of concepts in new ways. The resources provided were very thorough and covered the topics extensively. There was no shortage of them at all! In the future I hope to become an Aeronautical engineer. Hoxton Tutoring helped me get the best results I could, so that I feel one step closer. Thank you !
21.01.2022 The HSC 2020 will continue! What does this mean for our students? Hoxton Tutoring is working to develop the best strategy for our students. Following your feedback, we will not be making pre-recorded lectures, as we do not believe this is the best way for our students to learn. We believe students need to be engaged with their tutors, and ask questions as the lessons progresses. ... Currently, we are working on moving our classroom online. This will maintain face-to-face teaching and allow our students to be involved in the lesson. We believe this is the best way for students to continue their work, and not be disadvantaged by the closures.

16.01.2022 Good luck to all students sitting maths examinations tomorrow! Remember to read the questions carefully, set your working out logically and check your answers to avoid making silly mistakes. Timing is crucial to maximise your marks in the paper. If youre stuck on a question, move on and come back to it later - there are always extra marks to score.
14.01.2022 Congratulations to all year 12s who received their University offers today. Below is a testimonial from our student, Joseph, who achieved phenomenal results. ...... When I began Hoxton tutoring in year 11 my goal was to get into UNSW Architecture. It seemed like a huge task. The ATAR was very competitive and it was more than just getting high marks. The process also required a detailed portfolio submission as well as an interview. I didnt know if getting in was possible. During my senior studies at Hoxton Tutoring, I was grateful for the guidance my teachers gave. I was provided with the moral support and encouragement needed to pursue my goal. My tutors not only provided extensive resources but helped me find a regular study schedule, to ensure I was studying as effectively as I could. We were constantly given past-papers to practice for homework. It felt like a lot at the time, but it really helped me prepare for the HSC. We also had weekly exams which improved my time-management skills. The workload given was demanding, but my Tutors knew what was required to get into my course. I trusted them, so I did the best that I could. Last week, I received an email congratulating me on my entry to UNSW Architecutre. I couldnt be happier! Im glad all my hard work paid off. Thanks Hoxton Tutoring, for helping me get there. Joseph (featured right), with his Advanced Mathematics Teacher, Patrick.

08.01.2022 We hope you all had a great Christmas! Below is a testimonial from our student Rebecca, who talks about her HSC experience at Hoxton Tutoring. ... ... I went to Hoxton tutoring in the hopes that I would improve on my school marks and feel more confident in both English and Mathematics. I feared that I had left tutoring too late, and that there would be nothing that they could teach me to help me gain better internal ranks. My tutors both challenged me and provided me with a lot of past papers, yet, were also understanding of my situation in the case of exam periods or my major work. I felt that they were able to prepare me for not only the exams, but took measures to help manage my time. My tutors helped me formulate a personalised timetable for the HSC, which really helped me coordinate my schedule. In addition, the techniques they taught me were extremely useful to my other subjects, such as History, where I had to write structured essays in time intensive situations. I feel that without the assistance of my tutors I would have not achieved as highly as I had. I must credit my English tutor, Kristy, for helping me with my history extension major work, even though it was outside of class hours. My marks were the result of my tutors efforts in boosting my knowledge, study habits, and confidence. Without their help I would not have been able to get into the course I wanted to so easily. Thank you, Kristy, Patrick, and Hoxton Tutoring, for all the help you have provided me over the years.
