As all would be aware, COVID-19 has meant unprecedented impacts to the retail industry, with new challenges unfolding daily. Our Nursery and Gift shop currently remain open as usual. With a surge in demand for edible seedlings and herbs, we have a new batch arriving tomorrow Tuesday 24/03. More time at home means a great opportunity for gardening. Enriching the soul through nurturing of plants could be good medicine for the times ahead. Our Caf will continue to serve fantastic coffee and cold drinks to take-away, however, cooked meals will no longer be available until further notice. 15.01.2022 A truly heartfelt thank you to our community for their support during these uncertain times. I have to admit that the first couple of weeks during lockdown was scary - not seeing customers, seeing some suppliers slow down and expecting to need to shut our own doors. We went through dark moments of inadequacy when running out of some stock and directing customers to other nearby nurseries to try and be helpful as much as we could.... In those moments, the universe showed me that the world is filled with such wonderful people. I talk about my suppliers who did those extra trips and worked all hours to make sure I had what I needed as best they could. In particular, my seedling supplier - Alexander, whom I am convinced had no sleep during this time. To my amazing customers, both long-term and the lovely new faces, who would drop a kind word or make small purchases to keep me going. The photo below is dedicated to the unknown gentleman who wandered in looking for veggie seedlings and saw me in a vulnerable moment when I said I had none left. He could have turned around and gone to another nursery, but instead decided to make the below unplanned purchases. That moment touched my soul and gave me strength & courage when I most needed it. Lastly, to my staff - the Hoya family - whom have simply carried on despite the uncertainty. To all the wonderful souls out there who have supported us, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. This really was not a time of darkness but of enlightenment. Each act of kindness has truly made the difference to us and we look forward to seeing everyone return when times get back to normal. Keep well and stay strong. Stacey from Hoya

We have a small kitchen with an efficient and dynamic environment. You must be able to follow and present food from a set Caf menu competently. Our menu consists of All day Breakfast; Lunchtime: Burgers, Salads, Toasted Sandwiches, Grilled Salmon, Steak and weekly specials. Coffee and Scones/Cake also. Additional Order/Money taking and Barista skills are an advantage.
