25.01.2022 Hoxton Park Anglican Church return to church update (Thursday 30th July) This week our Friday evening groups for children and teenagers are recommencing in person at church. Ignite (yr K-2), Spark (yr 3-6) is on 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Amplify (yr 7-12) is starting at the NEW TIME of 7:45pm and running to 9:30pm. ... All attenders will be temperature checked, asked about attending local hotspots, your contact details recorded and you will be asked to sanitise your hands. All groups will be kept separate in different parts of the building. Our Sunday morning 9:30am Service is continuing ONLINE this week due to ongoing local community transmission. We monitor the local situation daily as we clarify the appropriate point to return. Our evening 6:00pm service continues in person, with safety procedures in place. "Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel." Philippians 1:27

25.01.2022 Hoxton Park Anglican Church update Wednesday 5th August The latest NSW government guidelines have encouraged mask wearing when in public including when attending places of worship. You are welcome to wear masks when you are attending any activity at church. Our Friday childrens and youth activities that started last week continue this week. Reminder that our high school Amplify program now starts at 7:45pm.... Our 9:30am Sunday service will continue being ONLINE only this week, as there continue to be local COVID cases (including one at the Busby child care centre where our church once upon a time was located). Our 6:00pm Sunday service will be in person following safety guidelines. 21.01.2022 Some NSW Health changes that affect church tomorrow have just been announced. Masks are now compulsory for those over 12 years old at places of worship. If you do not have your own mask we will supply one when you arrive. And a limit of 100 people per separate area has been reinstated. Children will go straight to their holiday activities on arrival at church. Dinner after 6pm Church has been cancelled for this week, we will re-evaluate future weeks as things progress. Our 9:30am services will continue to be live online at our Youtube page for anyone who cannot join us in person.

We pray for wisdom for our government and health officials and a speedy containment of this new outbreak. 07.01.2022 Church update 28th August 2020 Church services continue to be open for in person attendance this Sunday both at 9:30am and at 6:00pm, following the same COVID safety plans we have been following in recent weeks. Online streaming of 9:30am church will continue to be available on YouTube for those unable to attend in person. We are currently limited to 100 people in the same building. A new NSW public health order was released this morning that is prompting a few tweaks in our program, please read below if you have children coming to programs on Sunday mornings. Sunday School and Sunday morning Youth Bible Study will be signing in from 9:20am at their separate sign in table and doorway, and finishing at 10:35am after the adults program has finished. Leaders of these groups are not to be interacting with parents while in the building and all participants will be kept in separate areas away from the auditorium and creche. Please see David or Phil if there are any things that need to be communicated to children and youth leaders.

For those coming at 6:00pm, before entering the building you will be asked for contact details if we do not already have them, your temperature will be taken and you will be asked to clean your hands with sanitiser. We are planning on continuing to make the 9:30am service available online after we return in person for those unable to be here and to help us continue to reach the thousands of people around us who need to hear about Jesus.

This does create some uncertainty, and may require changes at short notice, however everyones health and safety remains our priority at present. ... 9:30am Church and Sunday School will remain online for now 6:00pm Church will continue to meet in person following all health guidelines. Our Friday childrens and youth ministry groups are not meeting today and will be notified as soon as we are able to return. Bible study leaders will communicate plans to their group members. 03.01.2022 Hoxton Park Anglican Church return to church changes: Due to the surge in COVID cases in our local community, we have made several changes to the timing of our plans for resuming at church activities for the sake of everyones safety. ... Praise God that (as far as we know) everyone from our church community who has been COVID tested so far has returned negative results. 9:30am church will remain online for now and will NOT return in person on the 19th July. Sunday School will also NOT return in person on the 19th July. There will be no Sunday morning high school Bible study for now. 6:00pm church will continue to meet in person following all health guidelines. Our Friday childrens and youth ministries that were about to return in person have been cancelled for Friday 24th July and our leadership teams will be clarifying and communicating our revised plans for future weeks. The Youth Great Escape day this Saturday has been POSTPONED to a yet to be decided date. Bible study leaders will communicate revised plan to their group members. For some this will be resuming online studies and other may wait two weeks before returning in person. Thank you for your understanding in this time when we need to be flexible and respond quickly to what is occurring in our local community. After 22 weeks of only meeting online, our 9:30am church congregation will be returning to meet in person from this Sunday 23rd August. We praise God that infection rates in NSW have dramatically dropped. However, we currently have a limit of 100 people allowed in our building. So we are asking everyone planning to come to register online, so we know to expect you and so you can check if there still is space a...vailable. Online live stream at 9:30am will still be happening on our church Youtube channel. Our 6:00pm service continues meeting in person, and we would like our 6:00pm congregation also to register in advance please. Please do not attend if you are displaying any COVID symptoms or have been asked to self-isolate. What to expect: Upon arrival you will be asked about recently visiting recent COVID hot spots Your temperature will be taken Your name and contact details will be checked off our list if you are a regular member and we already have contact details, or we will ask for your details if you are new or visiting. You will be asked to use hand sanitiser before entering the building. Face masks are welcome to be worn. There will be masks available for those needing them. Creche, Sunday School and Youth Bible study are happening on Sunday mornings. Children and youth will go straight to their activities and not come into the auditorium. The crche will be available for up to a maximum of 10 children. At the end of the church service you will be directed how to collect your children. Seats in the auditorium are spaced out in pairs around the room. We urge you to fill from the front to help us fit people in. Although the band will play and our song leader will sing, the congregation are currently not allowed to join in singing while we are gathered. There will be no morning tea or supper served at church at present. Our auditorium and meeting room seats are sanitised between services. We know that for various reasons not everyone is able to return to be with us at present, which is why the livestream is being continued. We also value having you join us that way!
