11.01.2022 Visit from Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC. ‘Governor of New South Wales’ Hunter Plant Operator Training School have hosted a visit from Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC ‘Governor of New South Wales’ and her Husband Dennis Wilson. On arrival they were welcomed by Manager Bronwyn Musgrove and 2 local school children, Scarlet Musgrove-Mewett (St Philips Christian College Cessnock) and Jorja Davies (Alesco Senior College Cessnock) who pre...sented them both with a posy of flowers. Mayor of Cessnock Bob Pynsent, Chairman of the Cessnock Chamber of Commerce, Allan Davies, and Alan Waugh Executive Board Member of HPOTS were also in attendance. Her Excellency and Mr Wilson met with the staff, trainers, and students of HPOTS and enjoyed a tour of the practical training areas. Her Excellency and Mr Wilson were very interested in how the students undertook their training, the skills they were taught, and the benefits to ongoing professional development for their working careers. The visit was an opportunity for HPOTS to showcase their training facility which offers adult and vocational training that directly supports the Hunter regions mining, construction and resource infrastructure industries. HPOTS delivers training programs to over 3000 learners per year, supporting many large and small stakeholders to achieve their staff development goals as well as supporting individuals who aspire to enter these industries across the Hunter.

They have spent their time learning to safely and competently operate a Front End Loader - RIIMPO321F. There has been plenty of banter and breakfast barbecues this week. Aaron also has his own Electrical Testing and Fire Compliance business Tag Mate Safety Services. Aaron brings some great skills and much industry knowledge to HPOTS. His friendly nature and fun attitude is infectious. He teaches High Risk and Safety Programs and loves to see people succeed. ...
