25.01.2022 Riding in car with The Godfather, Joe Andriske last weekend at Qld Raceway. Close battles on the short track version of the circuit that will be used in 3 weeks time for the QLD 1hr on the 23rd-25th of October. Here’s to hoping that the borders will reopen and that some extra cars from interstate can join in at such an iconic event.
23.01.2022 Very sorry for the inconvenience but we are working hard to get it and running. Very sorry
21.01.2022 The AMRS has posted the recording of live timing for the HQ Xtra Cup over the weekend. For those fastidious ones and engineers out there, it is a great opportunity to look at the progression of the race including the ever changing split times, top speeds and pit stop processes. Have a look at your leisure

19.01.2022 Another few retro images from the 1990’s, ironically featuring plenty of drivers returning for last weekends HQ Xtra Cup. The primary photo not only centres on Richard Mork in his distinctive livery, but is actually being chased by Jeff Barbara that was the crew chief on the weekend for Peter Dane. Jeff himself was not only returning to the track for the first time in a while, but was also reintroduced to his championship winning car that was formally owned by Dane himself a...nd driven by his son Ryan Dane, before being purchased and raced now by Ian McLean as the HQ Xtra #69, proudly sporting the championship trophies on the bonnet. A glimpse of the colourful bonnet/grille of the Bob Hepburn car can also been found in the top photo, another returnee who definitely showed his prowess behind the wheel with some incredible lap times and race results. Thanks again for Peter Dane, Richard Mork, Kieren Pilkington, Ian Wan Lum, Jeff Barbara and everyone for taking part in the HQ Xtra Cup 2020. www.hqxtra.com
18.01.2022 Just a quick reminder that HQ Xtra will be on air tonight at 9pm to discuss the HQ world including the completion of the HQ QLD Championship and the first HQ night race in over 20 years in NSW recently. Incredible achievement also with the HQ Xtra Facebook reaching a massive milestone of 2,000 followers inside the past fortnight. Tune in and enjoy, just don’t forget to continue to like and share!

10.01.2022 An action packed day ends at the HQ Xtra Cup event, with a great image of the 3 HQ Xtra Team Racing cars getting some preparation ready for tomorrow. An engine change for #99, a tweak on the front end sadly for #69 and a cure for a slight oil leak on #70. The important thing is that Peter Dane, Richard Mork and Kieren Kieren Pilkington had a great weekend so far and looking forward to the HQ Xtra Cup endurance race Sunday afternoon. ... Positive vibes around the pits and everyone is looking forward to cutting back through the field with the regular steerers back in their respective rides, starting towards the back of the pack sadly... 06.01.2022 Apologies for the delayed updates on results and action from the HQ Xtra Cup event. Honestly, it’s been a hectic couple of weeks for all of us at HQ Xtra putting this event on and genuinely could not be more proud of how it is going. But, down to the results... Qualifying was split into 2 mini-sessions to cater for 2 driver entries and creating an overall fastest time recorded for qualifying setting the grid for race 1. ... Chris Molle from Command Digital Signage did an incredible job in session 2 to grab pole, from being 9th at the end if segment 1. Luke Harrison from Kerways Asphalting was bumped from pole to 2nd by Molle and Matt Barker set a cracking time with some great in his orange Osborn’s Transport racer speed into 3rd position. Race 1 included the legends of the meeting taking their co-drive seats with Peter Dane, Richard Mork, Kieren Pilkington, Bob Hepburn and Ian Wan Lum joining the NSW regulars in the first of 2 sprint races before the HQ Xtra Cup on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately the race began with a slow getaway for Pilkington in the HQ Xtra #69 having shifter issues temporarily and the fleet of cars pouring into turn 1. Unfortunately the 4 into 3 scenario in motorsports applied with Barber, Pilkington and Wan Lum getting caught up in an incident. Out the front thought it ended with a enthralling battle with the field tightly packed in mini-tussles throughout the field and a Command Digital Signage 1/2 with Chris Molle leading deputising Duane Cambridge (in Jason Molle’s car) infront of a Matt Barker fractionally holding out Layton Crambrook after a race long battle. Updates and some streaming will occur today, so stay tuned www.hqxtra.com
