24.01.2022 #HQApprovals "Life was a little uneasy at times. Extremely busy with not much to do mainly due to safety reasons. We love our country for the reason that it was as beautiful just as Australia, with its lush landscapes and lots of beautiful attractions. Weather is great too. However being victims of crime lead us to become very weary of surroundings, and we constantly felt unsafe. Also because of our ethnic backgrounds, sometime work prospects were slightly unfair to our kind ...and besides our beautiful families and many friends, we felt compelled to leave home for better prospects and opportunities, not just for us but for our kids. It was absolutely the saddest and hardest thing ever leaving our home and we sometimes wondered if we were doing the right thing especially because we mostly spent time with family. Being here now, we know that it was the best decision ever. We are not looked at differently. We might be teased from time to time about our accents but it's humour, and this is what we have found in Australia: easy going people and easily accepting. Better opportunities. Always things to do and above all: much more safer. As much as we have to work hard as well, it’s much more rewarding knowing that you can enjoy our hard earned cash. Now that we're permanent residents, we are planning to buy a home and settle down. Get the kids through Uni and school. And just make the most of what this beautiful country has to offer. Late, we plan to do some local sight seeing and much later venturing the broader landscapes of Australia. My wife has family in most states, and we plan to pay them a visit as soon as possible. Australia is also a beautiful country no matter which state you are in. It also has a strong healthcare system and relatively reasonable cost of living. The best part of living in Australia is the scenery. Ther...e is nothing that can beat the beaches and vineyards of Australia which is just literally in our backyards. Australia is multicultural. It is a huge melting pot and you are exposed to various cultures and foods. I have made friends from different countries and made connections as well. Speaking of food, the fresh produce is to die for as well. Coming from Singapore where our food source is mainly imported, it was lovely to have seasonal fruits and food that are cheap and tasty.
