05.01.2022 Toronto Brass were pleased to have been a part of the NSW State Band Festival this weekend. While not our normal Championship set up the online festival format... worked really well and we enjoyed being a part of it. Congratulations to Toronto Brass and musical director, Tim O'Hearn who steered the band to a fantastic 2nd place in both the Sacred Item and Major Work sections with comments from the adjudicator that it was splitting hairs for 1st place. Well done to the Band Association of NSW on delivering a well run festival that was enjoyed by all bands across NSW and a few from interstate as well. Also thankyou to Tim from Brassbanned for keeping the feed running smoothly all weekend. Please have a listen and enjoy our sacred item entry, The Candle of The Lord by Peter Graham, recorded in our wonderful local, heritage Rathmines Theatre. Keep an eye out for us in the community, Covid friendly of course, over the next few weeks and a little on-line treat in the lead up to Christmas.
