The increases will be staggered for different industries depending on how well they have endured the coronavirus-driven recession. From July 1 frontline health care, social assistance, teachers, child care and other essential services will receive their increases. From November 1 most other industries will increase including construction and manufacturing. The hardest hit industries including accommodation, arts & recreation, aviation, retail and tourism will receive their increases from February 1, 2021.
