18.01.2022 Today we were quite literally in for a 'treat'! We were lucky enough to have a very special guest visit our office to prepare a lunch & afternoon tea using our kitchen facilities. We were the lucky group that got to indulge in the most delicious food! The menu consisted of: - Waldorf Salad... - 3x types of Bruschetta - Bocconcini & Strawberry, Classic Italian, Mushroom & Grape - Raspberry Eclairs - Earl Grey & Lemon Cupcake - Lemon Iced Tea - Mint & Lime Mineral Water with Blueberry Ice cubes Thank you on providing such a delicious feast! We really are so lucky!

17.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone! We wanted to share this uplifting video from the QAFLW Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club, as they surprise their teammate Jamie, who is deaf, with an AUSLAN rendition of their club victory song last weekend. What an amazingly supportive and inclusive team!

15.01.2022 Congratulations to Launceston local Patrick on being an ABC Heywire winner and sharing his story! He shares the same passion for farming as does his family and wants to keep the family tradition alive. Despite living with Autism, he finds the training calms him. "Noise can be an issue for me. I hate sirens. But when you're busy working you don't notice the sounds, and they're for a reason. If cows are mooing they're hungry and want to be moved. Sheep start baa'ing because the...y're trying to get to know each other." You can read more here https://www.abc.net.au/heywire/patrick_burnie_tas/12919368

10.01.2022 This is Amelia! She’s one of our Support Coordinators from our Disability Services team. Amelia is our environmental warrior at HR+, caring for many re-homed animals and always introducing environmentally-friendly initiatives in the office. Amelia loves working at HR+ because they support everyone’s passions and make the office environment fun. She loves her diverse role as it allows her to meet new people , get out of the office and leave each day feeli...ng fulfilled. Amelia brings a positive energy to the office, whilst always being eager to learn, she’s; optimistic, caring, empathetic and offers a new perspective. Outside of the office, Amelia loves animals and in particular native wildlife . She tries to live a sustainable lifestyle and embraces the outdoors at any opportunity given. She’s the adventurer type and enjoys exploring new places. When aligning a cartoon character with Amelia, we couldn’t think of a more perfect match, Captain Planet! An environmental-saving super-hero, that’s our Amelia! We’re so lucky to have someone like Amelia a part of our HR+ team that brings new life to the office each day!

08.01.2022 Today is World Health Day. This years theme is building a "fairer, healthier world for everyone everywhere". At HR+ our focus has always been the health & wellbeing of Tasmanians, with an emphasis on rural and remote communities. Supporting health service providers across Tasmania with staffing and operations needs to supporting NDIS participants with support coordination and plan management. Increasing access to these services and increasing services available in these communities is continuously on our minds and we're always looking at ways to build and improve in these areas. We'd like to take a moment to thank all the Tasmanian health workers today for their dedication, especially over the past year. We couldn't do it without you!

08.01.2022 Happy Friday! Who else plans on staying indoors & keeping warm this weekend?

07.01.2022 Meet Matt, one of our Support Coordinators from our Disability Services team. We love having Matt as part of our team here at HR+! He is a genuine and empathetic character that understands the meaning behind team player. Whilst Matt likes to laugh out loud, have fun and be a bit of a class clown , he is also a fantastic listener and will always lend a helping hand wherever he can. He’s also the king of Dad Jokes and Dark Humour, especially when dealing with challenging c...ircumstances. Outside of work, Matt likes to immerse himself in his musical talents; from playing guitar , to amateur music recording . He also doesn’t mind dabbling in PC gaming! When asking Matt if he could be any cartoon character, he invested long and hard at the idea. He soon realised he would jump in to the shoes of Rick Sanchez, also known as ‘Pickle Rick’ from the Rick & Morty TV series. We’re so glad to have such a fun & positive team player at HR+ that makes a positive impact.

06.01.2022 Before we moved offices last year, we auctioned some of our office furniture and items, and decided to donate 100% of the proceeds to City Mission North & North West TAS Winter Appeal. This will help to provide hundreds of warm meals during these cold winter days If you can, we encourage you to donate to an important cause that helps the lives of many Tasmanians https://www.citymission.org.au/support-us/donate

03.01.2022 Do you know Carolyn? She’s one of our Support Coordinators from our Disability Services team. Carolyn is a ‘think outside the box’ kind of person that likes to think big ideas . She’s one of the most patient people you will come across and always has her brain focused on the next solution. She is persistent is finding solutions and will strive for a good outcomes wherever she can. Carolyn loves working at HR+ because it has a perfect balance of fun , a suppor...tive team and the variety her role brings each day. She never has a boring day in the office and her role keeps her on her toes. Outside of work, Carolyn likes to immerse herself in anything animals or nature. Whether it be hanging out with her pets dogs, cats, birds, reptiles or exploring the surrounding bushland. Carolyn was the only Support Coordinator to identify her cartoon character immediately, Little Miss Messy . We don’t necessarily agree with her It’s such a joy having someone like Carolyn in the office every day and we wouldn’t change it any other way!

02.01.2022 The Cocoon Project! Last week we had the pleasure of surprising our team with a personalised office art piece by the very talented local Tasmanian artist Dominique Claire. As part of our team response to COVID-19 & adjusting to the new normal, we formed 'The Cocoon Project' which gave the HR+ team a platform to express & reflect on their metamorphosis in to the new normal. Each team member chose a butterfly avatar that symbolised their transition. ... Dominique has accomplished an amazing piece we are so proud to call ours. Drawing & capturing not just our butterfly avatars, but also embracing our rural mascot 'Shauna the Sheep' & our wonderful 150+ office plants. Working alongside Dominique has been an absolute pleasure! During some fairly challenging times, we can all say how grateful to be where we are, part of an amazing team. We recommend you check out her other amazing pieces Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dominique_claire_/ Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com.au/DCamanita/

01.01.2022 Have you met Kim? She’s one of our Support Coordinators from our Disability Services team. Kim loves working at HR+ and we love having her bubbly company around! Working at HR+ allows her to engage with a range of clients and industries which ensures that her diverse day-to-day is never boring. She embraces the HR+ mantra that ‘anything can be possible’ if you can find a way. Kim is an extremely organised person that likes to have her to-do lists in order. Sh...e is also very passionate about empowerment and supporting an individual to identify what it is they want to work towards and how they would like to get there. Outside of work, Kim is an outdoor adventurer ! She enjoys fishing , camping , travelling and walking her dogs . If there’s ever a spare moment to be outdoors, you know she will be doing one of the above! She is also a chronic sweet-tooth and would happily eat lollies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When asking Kim what cartoon character she would be, there was a few options she went through before identifying her true character. She eventually came to the conclusion that she would be King Julien from the movie Madagascar. We agree that King Julien reflects Kim’s fun, giggly and energetic personality to a tee. We’re so happy to have such a giggly, smiley team player at HR+ that lightens every day!
