The quickest and easiest way to see the horses In Training and For Sale is via the HERO website www.hrvhero.com.au... Click on Horses to find the current listing, then on an individual horses name to view a full profile. The website is updated weekly so you can be assured that the information provided is as current as possible. Remember, if you are interested in additional information, contact the HERO Retrainer directly. If you wish to inspect a horse, a formal Expression of Interest Form must be completed. HERO is open for inspections and test rides however those living in currently locked down locations CANNOT attend. We continue to adhere to appropriate COVID19 social distancing and hygiene measures. Please remember that we request no more than two people attend inspections.

09.01.2022 HERO invites Expressions of Interest from genuine, committed homes for four Program horses in need of non-riding homes. Each of these Standardbreds have been tested as riding horses but deemed unsuitable for HEROs clientele. Further information regarding their specific challenges under saddle can be discussed upon inquiry.... All four are paddock sound and in excellent condition. They are available to long-term homes which meet the HERO Companion Program criteria. The adoption fee is $500. 08.01.2022 Here is your Saturday morning feel good story. Bonnie was right on the cusp of HERO eligibility at 12 years old and fresh from a short stint as a broodmare. We wanted to give her an opportunity but were apprehensive. However her race owner was so very committed to her future that we brought her in to the Program and placed her with the truly brilliant team at The Horse Workshop. And here we are. Ride 4, looking every inch at ease in her new job and demonstrating a pretty damn awesome canter. Proud is an understatement. A special shout out to Fiona Dearing who did a preliminary assessment on Bonnie and gave her the green light and Mountain View Stud at Ballarat for great care of our girl pre HERO. #everybodyneedsaherolikebonnie #lifeafterracing #neversaynever

Smoulder didn't even get a race name, let alone grace the track for as much as a trial, but is doing all the right things in phase two of his life. He's an 8YO son of Courage Under Fire and has a wonderful temperament and trainable attitude....
