Todays top 3 finishers were: Matt Taylor 21:32 Ken Fletcher 23:01 Sonia Fletcher 24:38 There were 6 PBs from Kate Packman, Renee Jensen, Rebecca Lonergan, Archer Potter, Lorraine King and Melanie Coe. 23.01.2022 "I joked early on in my parkrunning adventures that maybe I'd get a parkrun tattoo for my 250th. As I approached the milestone I said nothing to my running frie...nds. About 2-3 weeks prior I had a bandage on my ankle, not many questions were asked and vague answers were given. 22 September 2018 was the big day, and hey presto the bandage came off. People have asked "is that your first tattoo?" I assure them that it hurt so much, it will be my ONLY tattoo! Scott Marshall

12.01.2022 Hi All. We are getting a lot of messages about reopening. Unfortunately we cannot confirm at the moment when our start date will be. We are waiting on permission from the land owner to recommence and have some checks still to do before we can confirm. The good news is we have a full crew of willing volunteers ready to go and if we can get our first one done before Christmas we have the best team in the business to do it. Watch this page for more details as soon as they come to hand - thanks for your patience

03.01.2022 Massive thanks and praise to this amazing woman Anna Shields on her 25th volunteer morning this morning. Anna was instrumental in getting our Parkrun up and running, has assisted us to acquire the fanciest start sign in the history of Parkrun and is an all out legend in general. Shes always encouraging of all our runners & walkers and lets face it without her we would be lost...especially in the results department. Thanks for being you Anna!

02.01.2022 Parkrun research tells us that women are much less likely to participate in parkrun, and parkrun is taking steps to change that!! As part of these efforts parkrun is organising a global female-focused parkrun celebration on Saturday 7 March 2020, the day before International Womens Day (IWD). We would love for our parkrun community to join parkruns worldwide in a celebration of female participation on this day. To mark the occasion we are encouraging existing parkrunners to bring along a female friend, family member or a work colleague, especially one who has never been to parkrun before. If you wish you may also dress in purple (parkruns chosen colour for the day, and the official colour of IWD). See you on Saturday at 6.45am!!
02.01.2022 Saturday mornings sure do feel different. How are you keeping parkrun alive in your community? We'd love to see your creative ideas for #notparkrunday
01.01.2022 7/3/20 is off to a great start
