25.01.2022 Its not always good news and happy times on the dyno, this little ferrea valve is just hanging in there after a sensor or injector failed so the customer has brought it to us to repair/replace. 23.01.2022 We get asked a fair bit do we only offer the Fully 6 head, our response not at all we can tailor packages to suit your needs like these two heads. The assembled head is what we call a Bathurst plus which through the same size port as a Fully 6 flows over 190cfm @ .550 valve lift and being a bit more of a racing application we have opted to use a larger diameter spring 10 degree retainers and locks, or the painted head is our Turbo Fully 6 with a chamber mod its 65cc so perf...ect for a strata or draw through set up, with improved exhaust flow and mods. 19.01.2022 Hey guys just throwing this out there, were fairly tired of using the stock grey motor Holden toothpicks so we are looking at making a H-beam for the trusty ol grey as well as an affordable cast bumpy top piston, rods will be around the $800 mark that are a direct replacement no crank or piston modifications and pistons not know yet. My question is IF we made these rods who would be keen for a set or who would buy a set? 16.01.2022 Theres been a bit of Hemi mania here at the moment, first one is a baby 241 red ram getting a birthday with some modern upgrades. The second animal is a blown 6.4 Hemi that decided to eat a ring land so that got upgraded with forged pistons, H beams, ARP bolts and a bit of a port job. Both two cool Hemis on different ends of the scale with about 60 years between them and they both still have very similar characteristics. 15.01.2022 Quick sonic test on a couple of blocks, you can never be too careful working with these old girls although these water cores look amazing the core shift around the bore can quickly stop a motor. We have had a few jobs come in with pin holes in the bores or cracked bores. 14.01.2022 Even thou this all happened before the lockdown I suppose we can let the cat out of the bag our next batch of Irvings have come in just to keep you guys up too date with it. We had played around with one as a test head and man have we got some air flowing through it, 233 cfm at .700 valve lift (yes we can get .700 lift in them) on our 25 bench all through a 40mm inlet port, with more still in it, flows pretty similar to a Jzed that we have ported previously. These should ...have excellent air speed and horsepower potential cant wait to do some dyno testing and put one of these in our cars. 05.01.2022 Why should Holdens have all the fun... bit of an old one but we have the time to post it now. The new FULLY 6 Barra hitting our lineup of changeover performance heads. We know you dont have to port these to make power just wind the wick up but these have heavy duty springs, retainers and a set of .5mm oversize stainless valves. 05.01.2022 Quick little tech tip which is pretty handy as we head into a long weekend. Once you have final torqued a bolt put a paint pen mark on it. After a long weekend or getting stuck on another job you may not know where you were up too, when you come back to it now and unwrap the engine you can see... ok mains are torqued, big ends done or head bolts done. 05.01.2022 Well here we have teamed up with Yella Terra by using their aluminium Road Racer head and giving it a Fully 6 touch. We use all our own parts in these and port them giving a nice 15% increase in cfm over their already improved casting (which all up is nearly 50% better over a stock 12 port). Orders are limited and out of our control as we rely on what Yella Terra have in stock. 02.01.2022 On Monday Rodney spent the day down at Gene Cooks putting one of our Group N spec 202 engines on the stress bench and produced a pretty healthy 320hp and 280ft/lb. We and the customer are pretty stoked with the result and we are on the journey for more in due time. 02.01.2022 Ok our mule is built and we have tried our very best to match our Bathurst head and our Irving head. Both flowing the same peak numbers but the Irving having a much much smaller intake size, both running platinum Yella Terra rockers, both running 45 Weber’s, we’ve matched the headers as close as possible using Aussiespeed shorty headers and manipulating them to fit, same compression ratios, will be on the same block so a direct swap back to back so no trickery in the short ...motor.
