25.01.2022 #functionalbreathing #emotionalhealth #selfcare #naturopath Tired? Low energy levels are one of the most common complaints I hear from my clients. Yes, after a... long day at work and looking after kids or pets we may get tired. But is it the type if fatigue where you struggle to look after your and your family's basic needs like cook yourself a nutritious meal, do some stretches or go for a light walk to get some air and move your lymph before bed? You can see a start of the vicious cycle here - too tired to look after yourself, then malnourished (take aways tend to become a long-term option) and tired from that. So you'd like more #energy? 1. Attend to the basics: let food be your medicine, include movement in your daily life - stretches, dancing, Tai Chi 2. Connect with nature. Staying indoors most of the day depletes us on energetic level. Getting out to a park, better - a forest, will re-vitalise you. Doing functional breathing technique there will boost your energy further up. 3. Spend time alone. Away from social media, other people and their opinions and thoughts. Listen to what arises within you. 4. Be kind to yourself. We put so much pressure on ourselves - to perform better, to look a certain way, to do this and that in a day etc. This drains us. The path of least resistance and kindness is the most gentle way to live. If something is too hard, step away, observe it from the distance, see if it is necessary at all, if yes - attempt again later, with renewed energy and clear mind. 5. Do the above consistently. Not only when already burnt out. But most of all - BREATHE. Consciously. Through the nose. Gently. Breathe as if you don't breathe, lightly, with your belly.

20.01.2022 #detox #functionalbreathing #naturopath #lunghealth #diaphragm While the liver and the kidneys are the body's major detoxifying organs, the diaphragm is the bod...y's main detoxifying muscle. Its widening and narrowing of the middle of the body enhances circulation, digestion and the movement of lymph. Inhibited, locked up diaphragm forces us to use auxiliary neck and shoulder muscles for breathing, which results in neck, shoulder and upper back pain as well as headaches. The principle of perfect TRIFECTA should be used when breathing. The pelvic floor (yes, men, for you too, think about your prostate health when you're over 50!!), thoracic diaphragm, and the psoas muscle create the framework of biomechanically sound breathing. These muscles frame the digestive, spinal and urogenital systems. Our breath supports healthy organs, better centre of balance, and healthier spine and gut!
