24.01.2022 On the 17th of next month, I'll be having a discussion about Religion, Christianity and Atheism with Terry Darmody, the host of a Sunday Christian music show on my station, 2RSR Marrickville Sydney. I'll be hosting it also as Vice-President of the NSW Humanists. It's part of our recently launched fundraiser ( see https://startsomegood.com/radioskidrow2020 ) - contributions would be appreciated - the station has been kind enough to support me planting the flag on behalf of Hum...anist in times past - but I'll try not to twist anyone's arm. If you're wanting to comment though - perhaps as comments to be read out, or even on air if you're fortunate - we will be prioritising supporters and contributors to the campaign. I expect to release the show as a podcast later on.

20.01.2022 I ( John August ) host a community radio show. Recently, over 3 episodes, I played an interview with Graham Hoskin, a religious believer, talking about the religious right in the US, and comparing it to Australia. I suppose we don't believe religion to be true, but this whole set takes it one step further - understanding conspiracy theories which are religiously informed. Graham talks about the prediction of the Apocalypse, taking a look at Israel - "Here's the spot where the... Russians will make their amphibious landing". In the middle episode, I play a discussion I had with Andrea Garatshun, about that segment of the Hebrew Bible which describes Angels coming to earth and breeding with people. And of course, each episode has a lot more besides just these topics.
