15.01.2022 HSR Group (Melbourne) will now be commencing on 611 Elizabeth St after being placed on hold due to lockdown restrictions. The new apartments located within the site's southernmost tower, also referred to as Tower 1, is a clean and sophisticated feminine form that echoes the corner of the existing ‘Melford Motors’ building. The existing Art Deco façade, which will be retained and conserved by HSR for head contractors, ProBuild, has a curved and angular corner that is projected... and set back to give the impression of a true extension of the heritage building. Applied Building Conservation Training (ABCT) are delivering a 6 day training program at Paxton Cottages, Burra, SA, from the 22-27 March 2020. The core subjects are the application of breathable paints to masonry surfaces, removal of paints using environmentally friendly products and lead paint (hazmat) waste management. This course is aimed at painters, apprentices and up skilling tradespeople who have interest... in the heritage industry. 07.01.2022 HSR Group (Adelaide) have recently been awarded the Bice Building (Lot 14) conservation works with Head Contractor Hansen Yuncken, the conservation works are due to commence 6 October. The four-storey Bice Building, completed in 1927, was built as part of the 1921 masterplan for the former Royal Adelaide Hospital. The building will now be completely restored with a flexible internal layout and the creation of 2000sqm of modern adaptive workspace. The contemporary fit out will... complement the Bice Building’s key heritage attributes.
