25.01.2022 As the year comes to a close, it's been a big week; especially as we had our first graduating Grade 6's from Holy Trinity. Small in number with only 10 graduates but they are mighty, and we wish them well as they continue to soar high and shine bright. #htsunbury #faithhopeunity #TogetherAsOne #2020graduates

23.01.2022 Today marks the end of an extraordinarily different term! Parents and teachers combined in the spirit of solidarity to support a remote learning environment that would provide a sense of normality and continuity of learning. All of our families and staff should be proud of their commitment and dedication to achieving the best for our children; as this is at the heart of everything we do. These holidays we hope everyone takes the time to relax and rejuvenate, ready to take on Term 3 with renewed enthusiasm and determination to be the best that we can be. #htsunbury #faithhopeunity

23.01.2022 As a school community we have celebrated the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Although we cannot welcome Fr Kevin to celebrate Mass with us as we normally would, we were able to reflect upon the love of God and Jesus' Sacred Heart through a 'virtual' Mass. The Mass was also a significant occasion for our Year 3-6 children who are preparing for their First Eucharist as they were presented with a copy of the Lord's Prayer - The Our Father. Other children in Years 3-6 stood with the First Eucharist candidates in support as they recited the prayer during Mass.

23.01.2022 Holy Trinity warmly welcomes Ms Lisa Pollard who will be joining the teaching team at Holy Trinity in 2021. ~ Hello, my name is Ms Lisa Pollard. I am going to be the Classroom Teacher for 'Grade 2 Gold' at Holy Trinity in 2021. ... I have been a teacher for over 14 years and have taught both in the Classroom and Physical Education in both Catholic and Private Schools. I have a very calm and structured classroom that focuses on the welfare of the students I teach. I make sure all of my students feel a strong sense of belonging and feel comfortable so they can thrive with their learning. I have a positive behaviour approach, and ensure that we work on getting along with everyone as equals. I am an extremely encouraging teacher who shows my students that it's ok to have a go, and mistakes are how we learn. The best part of being a teacher is getting to see the joy and pride on a childs face when they master something. I also love building relationships with the students and their families, and establishing a great open connection together. I wanted to become a part of Holy Trinity as it's a wonderful opportunity to join a new learning community. I'm enthusiastic about ensuring our students get the best opportunities to achieve success in their educational journey. I'm a mother of 2 young boys aged 8 and 6, and after recent years of working part time to fit in with my young family, I am now ready to get back into full time teaching and dedicate my time back to my career. I'm excited to get back into it all. When I’m not teaching, I like to spend time with my family and friends, cook, go away on trips, and stay active outdoors doing things like bike riding, visiting the beach, stand up paddle boarding, bushwalking or playing tennis or basketball. After meeting some of the beautiful Grade 2 Gold students at school, I am really looking forward to meeting all of the students and their families, as well as the wider Holy Trinity Community. I feel very blessed to have this wonderful opportunity. Lisa Pollard.

22.01.2022 Throw back to last Thursday when everyone celebrated Together as One day. Each class read the book The Wrong Stone by Russell Deal and everyone within the school proceeded to decorate their piece of stone to create our own solid wall which works together as one. #htsunbury #faithhopeunity #togetherasone #melbournecatholicschools

18.01.2022 Today, Friday 7 August, is Australian Primary Principals Day. A day to celebrate the work done by all principals in all schools across our nation. This year has clearly shown the true capacity and calibre of our principals as they have stepped up to the challenge of leadership through COVID-19. The real strength of the contribution they bring each day to their respective schools, staff members, students, families and the wider community. Our own fearless leader, Krystine Hock...ing, is the epitome of professionalism in her role as principal. Mrs Hocking always takes a measured, fair and equitable approach to her leadership. A dedicated leader who always thinks of the students, staff, families and the wider community. We are truly indebted to her and the job she has done, is doing and will continue to do. Thank you Mrs Hocking, from the Staff and Students of Holy Trinity See more

16.01.2022 Stage 2 Holy Trinity CPS - Construction has commenced! The learning building will have 6 new flexible classrooms and creative zones with a focus on inclusivity and indoor/outdoor connections to capture the imagination of every child and shape positive learning and social experiences. 14.01.2022 Grade 5/6 Virtual Camp Unfortunately, this year Holy Trinity’s very first school camp was cancelled due to COVID-19. As disappointing as this was, that didn’t mean that the children should miss out on the fun of camp. On Wednesday the 5/6 class had a virtual camp hosted by Mrs McGregor. Mrs McGregor, along with Lulu, Lucy, Lottie and Dottie, embraced the spirit of the day with a very inviting bonfire and Mrs McGregor got to roast marshmallows and drink hot chocolate in the company of her four legged friends. We hope the 5/6's enjoyed the day and we are looking forward to going to camp next year

14.01.2022 Spend some time getting to know our principal, Mrs Krystine Hocking, as she talks about her hopes for the children of Holy Trinity, what she is proud of and gives an insight into the stage 2 build and the future for Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School, Sunbury.

12.01.2022 Introducing Tania Ferraro, one of two new Learning Support Officers joining Holy Trinity in Term 2, 2021 Tania comes to Holy Trinity with 7 years experience working in Education Support. Let's get to know Tania...... "The best part of being an Learning Support Officer is working in a classroom, getting to know the children, working with the teacher to achieve the best possible outcome for the students, getting to know the families, watching the students grow and learn and being an integral part of that. I wanted to join the team at Holy Trinity as it’s a newer school than where I have worked previously, so I could be part of its continued growth. Meeting the principal and deputy principal, I could see that they had the same passion and values that I do in order to achieve the best for the students, staff and community. I am extremely excited to join such a great group of people. What I’m looking forward to when I begin at Holy Trinity is meeting everyone there, meeting the students and being involved in the Holy Trinity community. I’m looking forward to seeing where this role will take me. There’s more opportunity for growth in all aspects and I am looking forward to seeing that happen. A little about me is that I'm a married mother of 2 girls. My eldest is in Year 8 at CRCNK and my youngest is in grade 6 at St. Christopher’s. When my eldest was in grade Prep, a mother approached me and suggested I look into becoming an LSO. She saw the way I interacted with students and saw something in me that she knew children will benefit from. I completed my cert 3 and got my first job in 2015. I’ve been an LSO ever since. I love what I do, I love working with students and seeing their educational and emotional growth. It’s not always easy but it’s always rewarding and I’m always up for the challenge. The children teach me a lot also and I continue to grow and learn personally and professionally. I’m always hungry to learn more and help more and that’s why I love what I do. I come from an Italian background with strong family values. So my interests involve family time. Both my daughter’s play domestic basketball and my youngest representative basketball. I love watching my girls play, develop and grow stronger with each game. The friends they have made have become my second family, so we are blessed. I’m team manager for both my youngest’s domestic and rep teams, so I’m honoured to get to watch her every week. My other interests are socialising, shopping and travelling. I am looking forward to meeting everyone in term 2. Thank you for having me be part of you school community." We all look forward to meeting and working with Tania in Term 2 and we are sure the the wider Holy Trinity Community will welcome Tania to our wonderful school community. #htsunbury #faithhopeunity #TogetherAsOne

12.01.2022 Yesterday, the staff of Holy Trinity were blessed to receive this most beautiful bouquet of flower balloons from one of our amazing families. And what a talented family they are! The staff are so thankful to be recognised and appreciated for what they are doing and achieving during this period of Remote Home Learning. It has certainly lifted our hearts and spirits and strengthened our belief that we are working hard for our beloved Holy Trinity Community. Other families have also shown appreciation and we are ever so grateful and proud of the community we are building. 12.01.2022 This beautiful cross was commissioned by Holy Trinity through the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry for Victoria and arrived earlier in the week. The cross has been hand painted by Vicki Clark Mutthi Mutthi from the sacred lands of Lake Mungo NSW, with the cross itself crafted by Trevor Clark. Recently Grade 5/6 have been exploring the importance of 'Country' and 'place' to a sense of identity, ownership and the development of Australia as a nation. The children have considered how archaeological sites, including Lake Mungo, might be important for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their title as the original inhabitants of Australia. Isn't it fortuitous when learning interacts with a physical item within the school setting?

11.01.2022 School may have finished for the children but school was in session for the staff today as we welcomed our six new staff members for 2021. It was a productive planning day to set the tone for next year. We thank The Spotted Owl for providing us sweet sustenance to get through the day. We also farewelled Mrs McGregor and Miss Ryan as they take on new opportunities next year.

09.01.2022 In the lead up to and throughout the building of Stage 2 of Holy Trinity, we will endeavour to share little snippets of what is happening in and around the school. There are a number of things we have planned that we hope come to fruition. One of these is a remembrance garden to honour the ANZAC’s. This will centre around The Lone Pine aka Pinus halepensis. Our Lone Pine comes to us from Yarralumla Nursery in Canberra. Yarralumla propagates these trees from seeds collected from the tree at the Australian War Memorial which was planted by The Duke of Glouchester. The Lone Pine has an extraordinary backstory and we feel privileged to be able to honour the ANZAC’s within our community. #lestweforget #lonepine #yarralumla #htsunbury
