25.01.2022 Dining at Huddy is back, baby! The good news is that as from lunch this Saturday, well be open for reservations up to a total of 10 guests at a time. . In order that we can see as many of you as possible, weve broken the day in sittings of around about an hour (slightly longer at dinner). Weve also expanded our trading hours, opening a little earlier and staying open later than before, on the peak days. .... Unfortunately though, even with the extra sittings, with only 10 guests, were operating at well under a quarter of our usual capacity, and so we will not be able to serve everyone. Bookings can be made only by calling us on 3862 3844, and are essential. We do not imagine having space available for walk in guests at most times. . We will still be running takeaway, and our staff will still be doing deliveries. We ask that your order online via our website, rather than through the third party apps, as this gives us the best chance of keeping all of our awesome team going through the phase back in to normal operations, some time in the future. . We have also developed our Covid-safe plan, in order to keep you, and our team safe. The following are the actions were taking at the restaurant: . Maximum space allocated between tables Sanitising tables, chairs, & guest contact areas between guests We ask that you use the facilities provided to wash and sanitise your hands on arrival. We ask that you settle up using contactless EFT If youre sick, please stay at home. Were determined to stay here cooking up a storm for you, and providing work for our beloved team, for as long as we safely can. Weve had to make some more changes, though, to protect you our guests, and our staff. .... Mainly that means limiting our seating capacity inside, along with all the intense efforts weve already been putting into hygiene and sanitisation & social distancing. . Were still open, accepting reservations and doing dine in, delivery and pick up. Our normal systems of hand washing, food-safe gloves and surface sanitisation are in place and amped up, along with enhanced emphasis on all surfaces we share with guests such as tables, chairs and menus. . The team are receiving extra support with training and tools, and, of course, well support the team should they get sic...k and be unable to work. . Weve installed hand sanitising stations for our guests and welcome you to use both handwashing facilities and hand sanitation before and after your meal. . If possible we ask if youd settle up using contactless EFTPOS facilities, rather than cash, to limit cash handling at the counter. . 15.01.2022 Hi guys. Wed like to ask your advice. As you might know weve been delivering to you via Apps like UberEats and Deliveroo. Up to this point theyve made up a relatively small portion on our sales, with most guests preferring to come visit us for a dine in or takeaway, and so offering the extended service to guests who wanted to order that way was affordable. With the restrictions in place to help deal with Covid 19, weve experienced a massive shift to the apps, to the poi...nt that they make up most of our sales. Weve introduced our own delivery service, employing our former wait staff and chefs who would otherwise be without work, to do the deliveries, but still the orders flow in from the Apps. The trouble with that is they charge 32% - 35% commission on every order, and GST costs another 10%. Thats before we pay our team, suppliers or the rent. Were going backwards. The question is, if we removed ourselves from the Apps, for some or all of the time, would you still order through us, via our own website or over the phone? Wed love to hear from you. Our normal systems of hand washing, food-safe gloves and surface sanitisation are in place and amped up, along with enhanced emphasis on all surfaces we share with guests such as tables, chairs and menus. . The team are receiving extra support with training and tools, and, of course, we'll support the team should they get sic...k and be unable to work. . We've installed hand sanitising stations for our guests and welcome you to use both handwashing facilities and hand sanitation before and after your meal. . If possible we ask if you'd settle up using contactless EFTPOS facilities, rather than cash, to limit cash handling at the counter. . If you'd prefer to dine at home, our takeaway service is available to you and our delivery service will be available this week, both of which you can order online at our website.
