This is evidenced by the fact that they are the most incarcerated people on Earth and experience appalling disparity in economic, health and educational outcomes compared to non-Indigenous Australians.

I fully appreciate that not everyone has the luxury of being able to choose ethical jobs, that we all do our best to find work that enable us and our families to prosper. I do however believe, that if we are to address complex social justice issues (such as systemic racism and anthropogenic climate change the effects of climate change will invariably affect the poorest and most vulnerable people on Earth the most i.e. people of colour) than radical change needs to come from the top. We need state and federal leadership. We need leadership from our business and community leaders. By consciously choosing who to do business with, and what businesses to support in everyday life, we ordinary citizens, can force the hand of our politicians and the market.
