24.01.2022 Our clients Donna and Rodney say: Sharryn Huggett was referred to us by a friend. Were very unhappy with our current bank and knew we had to make a change. Sharryn helped us to refinance our current loans, both home and investment property. Sharryn made really for us to make the change. Initially all the information required was quite overwhelming, but Sharryn made it easy and helped us to understand and complete all the paperwork that was needed by the bank. Sharryn got to k...now us and asked about mine and my husband's short and long term goals. We don't have a lot in our retirement portfolio and we wanted to work out how we could make it work better for us and make it grow, as we have limited work years ahead of us, Sharryn took us through various loans, interest rates etc. and showed us, within our income, how we could restructure our loans to suit our lifestyle, whilst still focusing on our future goals and retirement. Sharryn's idea's and examples assisted us to fully understand what we needed to do to reduce our debit and build wealth in our current properties, whilst giving us ideas for the future. Sharryn was honest and provided us with her expertise. Rod and I will definitely remember Sharryn if we do plan to build another investment property and we would be happy for Sharryn to be a part of our journey and we would be happy to refer Sharryn's details to anyone that is looking for a new loan. -- If you would like to discuss your financial situation with Sharryn, please call (02) 6291 0610, email [email protected] or contact us via Messenger. #huggettfinance #homeloan #finance #happycustomers

21.01.2022 Our client Tammy says: Sharryn has assisted me in the past to refinance my home in Canberra, going above and beyond to keep me updated with the best interest rates and finance options. Recently we moved to QLD, and Sharryn was able to again secure me a home loan, working together online couldn't have been smoother. Sharryn is on top of everything before you even have to ask, making the whole process stress free and fast moving. I will continue to refer anyone I can to Sharryn... no matter their location, she is able to help, and I will obviously be using Sharryn again in the future. -- If you would like to discuss your financial situation with Sharryn, please call (02) 6291 0610, email [email protected] or contact us via Messenger. #huggettfinance #homeloan #finance #happycustomers

19.01.2022 What Does It Really Mean to Save For A Rainy Day? How much you need to put aside depends on your circumstance factors like your health, age, number of dependents, salary and other financial commitments will play a role. Aim to start with at least $5,000, which you could have sitting in a bank account earning nominal interest, or placed in your mortgage redraw. A redraw is a useful buffer as it helps you reduce the size of your loan now (and the interest charged over the len...gth of the loan) and you can still redraw the excess payments if you need the cash. If it's hard to save because your money seems to disappear, keep a record of how much you spend. There are plenty of tracking apps that make it easy to see where your money goes. Keep monitoring your spending for at least a month or even longer until a clear pattern emerges. Look through your spending record and decide where you're willing to cut back or whether there is a cheaper alternative. Make a savings goal that is achievable for just starting out, like spending $5 less a week. As you hit your target, increase your savings goal bit by bit so that over time you achieve the rainy day fund that gives you peace of mind for weathering future emergencies. 04.01.2022 REDRAW VS OFFSET: WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE? You may have heard there are advantages to having a redraw or offset attached to your loan, but how do you know which feature is better? Both features allow you to maximise any funds you have over-and-above the amount you're contractually obligated to pay on your mortgage. Rather than leaving extra funds sitting in a savings account, a redraw or offset gives you a convenient way to reduce the amount of interest owing on your loan. With... less interest to pay, you're in the driver's seat to settle your mortgage faster. The main difference between redraw facility and offset account is how these savings come about, and the ease with which you can access your extra funds. - How offset works An offset is a transaction account connected to your home loan. You deposit money into it and continue to have day-to-day access to your funds to pay off your bills and daily expenses. Rather than the money sitting in your offset earning interest, the balance is offset against your mortgage amount. This minimises the interest owing on your repayments. - How redraw works A redraw facility is a way of making additional repayments on your mortgage and then having access to some of this money again when you need it. How much you can access will vary from lender to lender, with some redraw facilities charging a fee or restricting the amount you can withdraw. While interest rates remain at historic lows, it pays to stay ahead of your minimum monthly repayments by using one of these features. For as long as you have extra funds in your mortgage, you have the security of knowing you have a buffer to cope with hard times. As your mortgage broker, we can explain the terms, conditions and restrictions of the redraw and offset facilities offered by different lenders. === This article is from our latest newsletter - Read the full newsletter here: https://bit.ly/35jltM3 If you would like to discuss your financial situation with Sharryn, please call (02) 6291 0610, email [email protected] or contact us via Messenger. #huggettfinance #homeloan #finance #newsletter
