If disturbed, these endangered rainforest residents are capable of inflicting fatal injuries to dogs and children. The cassowary also holds the title of Australia’s heaviest bird, and the world’s third tallest after the ostrich and emu. In Australia, cassowaries can only be found in the Wet Tropics of Far North Queensland.

As of today all tuna brands in Australasia have now committed to go FAD free! This is huge news for the future of our oceans. Today Sealord did the right thing and committed to go 'FAD FREE' by 2014. This win comes on the back of two years of sustained campaigning and will help to further reduce the amount of sea life mistakenly caught as bycatch when giant fishing nets are set around FADs.

Their feeding activity is important for the production and distribution of coral sands in the reef ...biome, and can prevent algae from choking coral. The teeth grow continuously, replacing material worn away by feeding. The pharyngeal teeth grind up the coral and coralline algae the fish ingest during feeding. After they digest the rock, they excrete it as sand, helping to create small islands and the sandy beaches. One parrotfish can produce up to 90 kilograms (200 lb) of sand each year!! See more
