25.01.2022 Lockdown being lifted and things are slowly going back to normal but I still feel "incomplete" There is something that is missing. Thirsty? Be filled!

22.01.2022 Have you ever wondered... Does God exist? How can anyone believe in religion when science has proved no God is necessary? Is evolution happening today? ... If there is a loving God, then why do we die? Creation Ministries International is coming soon (details and event link below) with answers to these and many other important questions. You're invited to come and listen to Scot Devlin expose the bankruptcy of evolutionary ideas. You'll be blown away to see how the supposed 'scientific evidence for evolution' is really not what it seems This is an issue that affects everyone. According to the theory of evolution as taught in schools and universities, there is no need for God - everything made itself. If that was true, it means there is no spiritual realm ... you don't have a spirit and there is no afterlife. So 'spirituality' is just an 'evolutionary trick of the mind'! But the Bible gives a very different picture about our origins. And many scientists now recognise that the scientific evidence, when properly understood, confirms the biblical account. For more information, please contact Ronie on 0420 908 753. Date: Saturday 18 April Time: 4.00pm Venue: Hughesdale Seventh-day Adventist Church 165 Poath Rd, Hughesdale Title: Genesis & the Gospel: God’s Good Creation, Man’s Fall
22.01.2022 To our dear church family... As we navigate these uncertain times, the health and wellbeing of our congregation (especially our most vulnerable) will always be of the utmost importance to us. Following the advice of the General Conference and the Australian Government regarding the global COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided that Hughesdale will suspend all services and programs until the end of April 2020. This includes the cancellation of our Creative Ministries event sch...eduled for April 18th. We will miss our weekly fellowship and worshipping together physically but it is our prayer that though our doors have been shut, we will not be stopped in worshipping together through other means. We have been informed that Frankston Church will be holding live streamed services to facilitate worship services from our homes, in addition to Lilydale and Dandenong Polish. We encourage that you continue to pray for faith, courage and for God to lead us through this difficult time. Reach out to your neighbours, your fellow church members, your family and friends - offer to help and pray for them, especially those that are vulnerable or isolated. Take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and those around you. Keep washing your hands, sanitising, avoiding crowds and please self-isolate if you feel you are experiencing symptoms. Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." God bless everyone. 08.01.2022 The recent events in the USA where a man, George Floyd, was killed by a police officer have caused many to feel angered, saddened, and frustrated at the injusti...ce of this death. Many are heavyhearted after watching such an atrocious act on their screens. A man pleading for air who just wanted to breathe. The sense of powerlessness is indeed real. We feel for those who are mourning and especially for his family. We also pray for the entire country. May God’s Spirit impress the minds and hearts of all to be more like Christ. In Australia, we too are not exempt from similar issues, and as followers of Jesus we speak against a spirit of racism and of hate. As followers of Jesus we are called to create spaces where people can breathe freely in every way and feel free from prejudice, burdens and sin. As followers of Jesus we are called to create environments where others may feel loved, wanted and reconciled in a spirit of unity. May our hearts be tender and ready to be agents of change in our community and in our country. The need to be more like Christ is needed in our midst as never before. Pr. Jorge Munoz President Seventh-day Adventist Church in Australia
