25.01.2022 The next P&C meeting is on Monday 9th September at 7.30pm. Come along, meet some new people and find out what’s happening at the school

23.01.2022 Just wanted to acknowledge the work of the P&C this year, and the endless hours put in by some key players in the parent community, who have been at Hughes for many, many years. Also, an enormous thank you and farewell to a bunch of truly fantastic teachers. There wasn’t an opportunity to say a proper goodbye and thank you from the school community or the kids. To the teachers and parents who have left, thank you so much for your contribution to Hughes over the years and we hope your 2019 and beyond serves you well xxxxx

23.01.2022 A huge thank you to the wonderful parents (plus children!) and staff who worked so hard in this afternoon’s working bee! What a fantastic effort!

20.01.2022 Hughes Primary School is a polling centre for the election this Saturday 18th May. We will be running a sausage sizzle and a cake stall on the day and it would be wonderful if each family could donate at least one item to sell (cakes, muffins, biscuits, laminations, slice, bliss balls, jams....etc). Please hand your home made treats to the school’s front office during school hours on Friday 17th or bring your items to the cake stall outside the hall on Election Day between 8am and 12pm. Don’t forget to come and vote, buy a sausage and a cake on Saturday! Thanks for your continued support!

18.01.2022 We can't wait for the Extravaganza on Saturday! Don't miss the LIVE AUCTION at the fete at 5.30pm on the black top! Sensational prizes, including this beautiful painting by a talented parent from the school, 3 hrs of gardening by 4 dads, a car service and $150 worth of bakers delight vouchers!

17.01.2022 Only one sleep to go! Baked goods and plants can be dropped off tomorrow straight to the stall. See you there!

17.01.2022 The Hughes and Garran P&Cs share the deepest concern for our neighbours down the coast. We are also conscious that many of our families have been involved either personally or have their extended families and friends impacted by the devastating fires. In a small way we would like to contribute to these families in order to ease their immediate concerns. The RFS in Queanbeyan are collecting donations of the following items:... Non perishable food items Fuel Vouchers Water Toiletries Nappies Eye drops Powerade Chips Jelly lollies Saline Lip balm Pap paw cream. WE WILL NOT BE COLLECTING CLOTHES AT THIS POINT. The P&Cs will staff a drop off point at HUGHES PRIMARY SCHOOL at the following time: Friday 3rd January 4-6pm. We will then arrange the delivery of these goods to the depot in Queanbeyan. The RFS distribute these items through their shift rotations. We are waiting to hear from The RED CROSS about other resoucres and supports we can provide. Thanking you in anticipation. Nina McCabe Principal Hughes Primary School
