17.01.2022 Aslaug by Gertrude Demain Hammond, R.I. ~odinsraven "According to the thirteenth-century Saga of Ragnar Lodbrok, Aslaug was the daughter of Sigurd and the shiel...dmaiden Brynhildr, but was raised by Brynhilds foster father Heimer. At the deaths of Sigurd and Brynhild, Heimer was concerned about Aslaugs security, so he made a harp large enough to hide the girl. He then traveled as a poor harp player carrying the harp containing the girl. They arrived at Spangereid at Lindesnes in Norway, where they stayed for the night in the house of the peasants ke and Grima. ke believed the harp contained valuable items and told his wife Grima. Grima then convinced him to murder Heimer as he was sleeping. However, when they broke the harp open, they discovered a little girl, whom they raised as their own, calling her Krka ("Crow"). In order to hide her beauty the accepted sign of her noble origins they rubbed her in tar and dressed her in a long hood." ~odinsraven

14.01.2022 We are a small hobbyist parrot breeder. We do not consider ourselves commercial or profit making and our main focus is the welfare and happiness of the birds we keep. We do not advertise our babies for sale, we prefer to find them homes through trusted pet stores and the parrot society of Australias avitrader, available free to all members. We look forward to sharing tips and just things we enjoy with you all.

09.01.2022 But how can you stay mad at this face

09.01.2022 When giving out fruit and veg, we sometimes give whole or chopped chunks for enrichment purposes, however the day to day veg is always chucked through the food processor. This is quick and easy, but the main reason is because it stops the "taste and waste" habits of some parrots, and makes it available to the finches and pigeons.

08.01.2022 Anyone else loving these storm skies? We were lucky that the hail missed us by only a few properties.
