18.01.2022 My tip for tip Tuesday is all about exterior of your car. Your wheels are shiny and clean, now it’s time to make the rest of your car match. But before you start scrubbing, make sure you hose off the entire vehicle to remove any loose dirt or debris that might otherwise scratch the car’s surface. It’s especially important to clean off bird droppings, dead insects, and tree sap, as these can be very harmful to your vehicle’s paint. Once the car has been thoroughly rinsed with the hose, wash it by sections, moving systematically from top to bottom in the following order: roof, then window supports and windows, then the top of the bonnet and upper panels, followed by the middle of the doors and the boot, the front bumper, lower panels, lower part of the doors, and finally the back bumper

14.01.2022 Tip Tuesday cleaning windows & glass Not only are clean mirrors, windows, and windscreens aesthetically pleasing, they’re also important for your safety. It’s hard to be a safe driver if you have to squint to see out of your windscreen and your rear-view mirror is covered in smudges. There are a few important things to remember when cleaning your windows and glass. Firstly, standard glass and tinted glass need to be cleaned in different ways. Cleaning untinted glass is fairl...y straightforward a trusty glass cleaner and paper towel combination should get the job done. As always, remember to spray the glass cleaner directly onto the paper towel, rather than onto the glass surface. That way, you avoid the spray dripping down and damaging other surfaces. Untinted glass, on the other hand, requires soapy water and a soft microfibre cloth to avoid damaging the film. Finally, be careful not to knock or damage electrical connectors as you’re cleaning things such as side mirrors. See more

13.01.2022 My tip for today because it has been raining I always get told the rain will wash my car. Rain is just water. It doesn’t have any sort of soap in it to cut through the dirt and wash it away. Depending on the air quality, rain may actually make your car more dirty. A detailer will put soap on your car, scrub it to loosen the dirt and rinse it off. Water by itself isn’t really enough to effectively remove grime. Of course, the best way is to wash it yourself by hand, since automatic car washes can be a bit rough on cars.

03.01.2022 My tip for tip Tuesday is all about cleaning wheels #TipTuesday Focus on the wheels Use a hose with a nozzle that provides good water pressure to spray the wheels of the car. The wheels contain the most dirt and debris so you want to clean them first. Spray around the wheel wells, as well as the undercarriage to get rid of brake dust, dirt and to clear out any road salt left behind from winter.... Clean the wheels with a cleaner that’s made for tires some cleaners work best with certain paints or types of aluminum and you can typically find this information in your owner’s manual. You don’t want to damage your wheels by using the wrong product.

Start by removing any obvious rubbish from the ash trays, door bins, glovebox and other interior storage spaces. Don’t forget to check under the seats for sweet wrappers, missing spectacles and mislaid currency (hey, you never know). If you use seat mats, take them out and clean them separately. A quick dusting down won’t usually do it, so if they’re rubber, wash them with warm soapy water. If you use carpet mats, you may even be able to run them through the washing machine but check the instructions.
