25.01.2022 The sun came out today for our tenth annual Hugo’s Island Classic . A big thank you to all of the clubs and competitors who supported us and made the day such a big success without you we wouldn’t have made it this far . The foundation of Hugo’s is fun and participation it was heartwarming to see competitors of all ages competing with spirit and great sportsmanship . Since the beginning it has always been the carnival with the best vibe, we celebrate what we are all part o...f and how we belong to the surf life saving family, what we have and what we do on the beach is unique and we should all feel privileged to be part of it . Winning is not important it’s the memories that we create that count and that we will all remember in years to come . This was evident today with some of our competitors competing in their tenth Hugo’s year after year they come back to be part of the vibe . Thanks to everyone who made today such a big success we look forward to seeing you all next year, stay tuned for next years dates .

06.01.2022 Well the season has ended not as we all had planned, so it's onward and upward looking ahead towards the 2017/2018 competition season . To work in with a busy competition calendar as posted a few months ago we have moved Hugo's Island Classic forward to Sunday 22nd of October . This will be 10 years for Hugo's and we want you guys to help make it the best year ever . We have opened up the age groups so competitors from under 11 through to masters can have a crack . The cl...ub has also moved the craft carnival events and format for board and ski to Saturday 21st of October for a twilight teams carnival our goal is to give all competitors 2 fun days of competition . We really need the support of our fellow clubs to make both carnivals a success if you can all spread the word and let clubs, coaches and competition managers know of the dates and lock them into your competition calendars after the disappointment of Aussies this year I am sure we will all be ready to go come October . See more

06.01.2022 Just to clarify the Twilight carnival being held on Saturday the 21st is a senior carnival and for under 15’s - masters . Under 14’s can compete up if they have their src . Sorry for the confusion .
