24.01.2022 Friday was a day of happiness and sad at the same time , we took our trauma teddies, octopus,quilts,burp cloths, cocoons , capes ,as you can see one of Santa helpers has one that Val made , it was lovely to share with Val where all the good work goes to Our amazing friend Sue is leaving us to move to Sunshine Coast so we will miss her mega as if ever we asked Sue to sew something it was done the next day .Thankyou also to our amazing group Hattonvale Happy Crafters thankyou for all your support and look forward to making many more quilts for the hospitals so sending you all a hug and get well wishes Karen &Ivan
17.01.2022 Hi to all today Ivan and myself and Kristine went to Ipswich hospital, we went to the sunshine ward and gave 6 quilts that I made and one that Penny Watson started to make and I finished off so thank you Penny . We also took 30 trauma teddies and 10 worms teddies and 10 octopus. Then we went to the birthing suite and gave 10 beautiful bereavement dresses and 10 baby quilts. It is such a blessing to be able to help in such a small way . Looking forward to seeing you in the near future, sending you all a hug Karen and Ivan
07.01.2022 Hi today was an amazing day we had Councillor Michael Hagen , Sue Banoff . We also had ladies from Tabel , Carinty , Regis, Anuha and also Tracy from Second Chance Clothing who has been such a generous lady giving us material, cot sheets , and most of all wedding dresses that we reuse into bereavement dresses for Toowoomba, Ipswich, Mater Mother’s .Today we were able to give out to Tabel , Carinty , Regis 10 beautiful lap quilts each for our elderly in nursing homes also to ...Anuha 15 single bed quilts to use on their beds. We also made for Lockyer Valley Disabled Community Assication a large quilt and a pillow & a lap crocheted quilt that they will raffle off to raise money for their community. We were able to do this as we got a grant from the Lockyer Valley Regional Council which we are very grateful so thank you from Hattonvale Happy Crafters.Attached is 4 photos of my quilts which I am donating to Tracy to thank her for all of her help to me .Sending a hug to you Karen & Ivan See more
05.01.2022 Hi today has been extra special as we also went to RBWH first to the bereavement ward and left some amazing gowns, then on to intensive premie ward left them with burp cloths , blankets, premie jackets, aprons all in purple as they have a month in witch they have a colour. So sending you all a hug Karen, Ivan ,Sue Cox . But a big thankyou to all at Hattonvale Happy Crafters for all of your donations to this amazing place .
01.01.2022 Today was fantastic we went to Queensland Childrens Hospital and delivered over 100 trauma teddies, 70 octopus, 20 worm teddies , plus bags and bags of beanies and 30 quilts. All this was achieved from our group Hattonvale Happy Crafters, a group that I am very proud to be a part of , then we went to Mater Mother’s to the bereavement ward to deliver 80 dresses, 78 blankets, a bag of beanies. In doing this we hope and pray that we can bring some comfort to the families, will be back in 3 months to see them again sending you all a hug Karen and Ivan
