19.01.2022 Tragic state of mental health services in SA, especially in Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. These are matters I have been raising since 2013 and following disclosure of harm to consumers and corruption by staff in 2016 I was then bullied out of the system culminating in the investigation into my conduct following unfounded, vexatious claims by Doctors, Nurses And leadership. The allegations were not upheld as there was no evidence - as the CEO had to concede despite a... six month investigation wasting public funds when the executive had evidence to the contrary the whole time. Nice to see there is finally something emerging as the same executives remain in positions of authority and oversee the ongoing and current same problems mention on the report below. Just to make clear when the report says 'doctors' identify concerns...Doctors have spent years under the previous clinical director ( psychiatrist) building doctor leadership. So it is a little disingenuous to suggest ( as these articles and reports often do) and perpetuate the myth that the doctors are not responsible. If you define governance to say doctors get paid extra as heads of units...they are accountable. Hopefully we might see some change for people in distress in Southern Adelaide... its long over due. 11.01.2022 Very grateful to be presenting at the MH review Tribunal of NSW tomorrow. I have been invited to talk about alternatives diagnostic and medication based approaches. So the lucky attendees(!) will get to hear about the evidence to support prioritizing Open Dialogue, Hearing voices approaches, Power Threat Meaning Framework, Dissocicachotic, mutual aid respites, Just Listening Community-led ED alternative, SUICIDE Narratives and human rights matters as a priority to not put people on 'treatment orders'.
