25.01.2022 Any questions about chiropractic? Is chiropractic care safe? * Chiropractors use skill, not force or strength to conduct specific Chiropractic adjustments. Chiropractic has a very low risk profile, especially when compared with more invasive methods of spinal care. ... What is a chiropractic adjustment? * A chiropractic adjustment is the application of specific force in a precise direction, applied to a spinal joint that is fixated or not moving as it should. This can help to improve or restore motion to the joint, helping the spine to regain more motion and function. Am I too old for chiropractic care? * There is no age limit on chiropractic care. In order to deliver the safest, most effective and highest quality care possible, chiropractic techniques are modified for each person at every stage of life. Do chiropractic adjustments hurt? * With some adjustments you may sometimes hear or feel a popping sound from the spinal joints. This is simply caused by a change of pressure in the joint as spinal movement is improved. Some chiropractors use a hand held instrument called an activator to adjust the spine. Others use wedges or blocks to help realign part of the body. Whatever the technique, chiropractors use skill, not force, to care for their patients with the highest level of safety and effectiveness. See more

09.01.2022 Netflix and ouch? With autumn here and the cooler weather approaching, we can expect our inner couch potatoes to start making an appearance. 08.01.2022 Rest easy with the correct sleeping position * Sleeping on your stomach will eventually create problems with your spine and is not a recommended sleeping position. It puts unnecessary pressure on your neck due to twisting your head and the straining of your lower back. It can also cause pressure on your chest. * Sleeping on your side is a better position for sleeping. Try lying with your lower leg fairly straight and bend your upper leg or try placing a pillow betwe...en your knees and bending both knees and hips slightly to position your pillow. This will reduce pressure on your spine and provide alignment. * Sleeping on your back is also a good position. For extra support place a pillow under your knees to keep to the natural curves of your back and reduce strain on your lower back. It is also important to ensure that your pillow is the correct height to reduce strain on the curves of your neck. * Image from #unsplash and information is from #aca sleep on it initiative.

05.01.2022 Confidence in Chiropractic Chiropractors are registered by the Chiropractic Board of Australia and like all other registered health care providers, must adhere to National Law and profession specific codes of conduct and guidelines. An October 2015 Position Statement by the Board acknowledged that chiropractic paediatric management education is provided by all accredited Australian Universities, this incorporated an understanding of risks where identified and emphasised ...established clinical best practice guidelines for the treatment of children. There are gaps in the knowledge base in relation to the chiropractic care of children and more research is needed. What remains unchanged is that chiropractic care is delivered by university educated, regulated healthcare professionals. There is high expressed satisfaction by parents/guardians seeking care of their children. The profession is committed to ensuring evidence informed care is provided to patients.
