22.01.2022 The Humankind Film Festival would not have been possible without the generous support of our partners. So, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to them. Humankind served as a virtual space of connection, and the maximum support we received from our Community, Hero, Supporting, Government and Major Sponsors helped us create this vision: through them we were able to engage and create a relationship with you, our community! Stay tuned over the coming days for some festival highlights, and to see what's up next for the HRAFF team. Until then, share with us what your highlights of the Humankind Film Festival were: tag us, email us, write to us! Any way, we would love to hear from you! #humankindff #humankindfilmfestival #community

21.01.2022 To our ‘In My Blood It Runs’ audience, collectively you helped raise over $6,000 for the film! We are overjoyed by this figure! Your contribution will help support an Arrernte-led school to be established on Dujuan’s homeland at Mpweringke Anapipe by his families, supported by Children's Ground! This in turn, will help support First Nations led education in Australia, will help make mainstream schools culturally safe for First Nations children and will help support restorat...ive approaches to juvenile justice instead of the current punitive systems that exist. As we cross the mid-way point of the festival, we would like to express our deep gratitude to the Humankind community. The solidarity, and excitement of people coming together in a common cause is what gives this online festival purpose and determination. #humankindff #humankindfilmfestival #community See more

06.01.2022 Meet Alice, Program Manager of Human Rights Arts and Film Festival. With the originally planned HRAFF on hold in 2020 Alice has kept herself busy by planning the films for Humankind Festival. If you've joined us this week - or for our first Humankind Festival in May - you'll know just how incredible our program is. The richness of Humankind is a true testiment to Alice's ability to understand exactly what our audience needs - and how to find world-class films to hearten, insp...ire, remind us how connected we are, and bring together our HRAFF community and beyond. Across the world, an incredibly diverse array of live arts events have been made available online, and it’s been a wonderful reminder of how in times of crisis, artists are often amongst the first to adapt and continue to bring us together. Tonight's closing film And Then We Dance is truly spectacular and will bring Humankind to a beautiful, heartwarming conclusion.
