18.01.2022 I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Angela of Amazing Grace Restaraunt. Angela has been in the Greater Springfield area for many years . Having raised 4 children and 23 grandchildren, she strongly believes in community support. This restaurant operates as a non profit organization that redistributes its revenue to feeding the homeless, supplying clothing, and support services to families in need. Angela's apron reads , Serving with Love. Truly a Gem for the region.
17.01.2022 The First Family of Springfield Some say... every 5-7 years the average home owner will consider moving homes. Whether it be upgrading , downgrading, or circumstanti al. For Margaret and Bryan Josey home has been home for more than 50 years. They raised 4 children and now have a dozen grandchildren. The grandchildren now enjoy playing in the yard every sunday after tea. Margaret says," this home is as attractive as when we built it by hand with Bryan's Father."... One can say that Greater Springfield has grown from humble beginnings in 1992 to 5 suburbs with 34,000 people and 10,000 houses with staggering growth and unlimited potential. Now, lets turn back the clock to 1870. Bryan Josey is the grandson of James Josey. James Josey was the original land owner of Springfield. He owned Eden Station which consisted of most of Springfield and Springfield Lakes. The old farm house was located just off Eden Station Drive. James was a British convict that held up a coach in England and was sent to Australia. He was given 7000 acres where he was a farmer and grazier of Opossum Creek. James transformed his life from convict to beloved role model and family man. What an honour and a humbling experience to have met this couple and to be a part of this community.
17.01.2022 My travels in and around Greater Springfield have been filled with meeting soo many people from different places with unique talents. I am amazed at the level of diversity in our community... Meet Paul Poskart. He has been living in Greater Springfield for 4 years working as a Xray tech ...I found Paul to be very warm with a wonderful sense of humour. Initially, our conversation went down the path of minor home renovations and the real estate market and his long term goals.... Then, he showed me one of his rooms where he has an art studio with many paintings and artistic impressions. I was intrigued to see how he went from very pleasant to passionate in not only explaining his creations, but telling me his WHY or purpose. Paul believes in everyone there is a gift that needs to be expressed and shared with others and through this expression we are fulfilled. After long stressful days, allows his self to indulge in his art. Tai , my work colleague and friend, feel grateful and humbled to have spent time with such a beautiful human being. See more
17.01.2022 Soulcutz Talent and diversity are integral components of a communitys greatness. Hardworking, humble, and well known entertainer/entrepreneur, Benson Tan. Malaysian born and Australian raised . Benson is the owner of SoulCutz, Band and Barber Shop. His band was featured on X Factor in 2014 and has performed in over 100 venues around Australia in the past 20 years. The soon to be released album reflects their success and talent. Benson plays several musical instruments and... demontrates a wide vocal range as lead singer. When asked why does he own two very different businesses. Benson says, "Work hard ...dare to be you...dare to be different!" His barbershop started from nothing and now has over 300 regular clients. He attributes the success of his Barber Shop to his wife, Kellie and his loyal clients. Dare to be Different...Dare to be You

Steve has lived here for 25 years with his wife and children. The co-principal of McGrath Real Estate and has served as a real estate agent for 14 years.He is an active member of the community with a love and passion to make a difference. He has seen the area develop from it's inception to what it is today. His knowledge and understanding of the region is comprehensive. 07.01.2022 My day is filled with meeting soo many wonderful people that live in beautiful Springfield . Meet Jack one of the original families that moved here in 1993. His family is from Thailand and absolutely loves the community and what it offers. After 24 years, his family has no intention of moving. Jack is a painter that has painted many local buildings including Orion, GE Building, and Springfield Towers. He loves the peace and quiet with neighboring bushland after a long days work. When asked what he loves most about Springfield..Jack replies " my wife and kids can do everything here without the need to go anywhere else. " A true ambassador of our community and an absolute gentleman. Thank you for taking time to tell us your story.
