23.01.2022 One of the things I like most about using Gallup Strengths is that it means youre focusing on whats inherently right with people, instead of fixating on whats wrong with them. By using Strengths, Managers can learn how to relate to their teams to get the best out of every individual. Some of Gallups earliest strengths research found that a strengths-based approach to management is one of the best ways to improve the employee-manager relationship.... Nothing that Gallups experts and researchers have observed since then has contradicted that finding. 13.01.2022 Over the past five years at Human Tribe Ive worked with small, medium and large clients across many industries and have found that all our clients have one main thing in common, a clear need to develop the skills of their Managers. Its never anything too complicated, they need help with the basics, things like self-awareness, coaching, recruitment, holding people to account and stakeholder management. The issue is that all too often, businesses are promoting their technical...ly strong people, only to set them up to fail because they dont have the capabilities to manage their people. My experience is backed by research. The HR Coach Research Institute indicates that the overarching trend that emerges from their research data is that management is being neglected and that there is a direct correlation between how your employees feel about their manager and how well your business performs. Which tells me two things; there is a pressing need to develop the skills of Managers and that here is a strong ROI to this need. So thats why Human Tribes Management Capability Program (MCP) has been my pet project for close to 2-years. Our MCP is a 6-module training program where Managers learn the essential skills they need to manage their people. We piloted this program in 2018 with the Liquor Stores Association and as a result of that work, we achieved an overall NPS rating of +50 and we were awarded their Services Supplier of the Year. I will be running Human Tribes Inaugural MCP Accreditation in February 2019.
