23.01.2022 A message from our Artistic Director: Hi Everyone I hope this doesn't seem belated, it's just that I have been searching for the right words to express how much the last few months have meant to me and the rest of our organising team.What a privilege it has been sharing the journey with so many wonderfully dedicated people and what a fantastic result we got for all that hard work. By all accounts it sounded wonderful out the front! More than anything, we have proven that this... can be done and that our region can have the orchestra that it has for far too long gone without. Without a doubt through your efforts we have been able to raise awareness of the transformative effect, in so many ways, that this venture can have on our community. So many have contributed to this success, but Helen and I would particularly like to thank Rosalie Birney and Roslyn Pritchard for going well above and beyond the call of duty and the Events Team at Hume Council for having given us this opportunity. I would also like to thank my partner Mila for all her hard work in catering for the terrific after party. Our thoughts now turn to putting our program together for next year, working to recruit more players for our orchestra (double reed woodwind anyone?) and continuing to build our relationship with the whole community. One thing however is certain. We will be singing Hallelujah again this time next year! All the best to you all for the festive season David Osborne

19.01.2022 From our wonderful and hard working Conductor...... Hi Everyone I'm just about to start sending out the individual parts to 'Bergamasca'- the final part of the Respighi and of course the famous bit, the one I know we're all looking forward to performing. I promise that if we put in the work to get this right it will not only be tremendous fun to play, but also guaranteed to bring the house down when we finally get to play it to an audience.... Outside of that, all I can really tell you is what you no doubt already know. We will not be able to rehearse until we come out of lockdown and I imagine that when we do, gathering numbers will be limited, so we will probably be having a few section rehearsals before we are able to bring the whole group together. In the interim, if anyone does need help with learning any of the music I have sent, I will be more than happy to go through it with you one on one using Zoom, so please just let me know. Until then please stay safe and take care. All the Best, David
