25.01.2022 Today- 23.33% 12 months ago- 15.40% See, not everything is doom and gloom. At least we’ve got more water this year!... The water looks amazing today and if you keep your social distance, you might want to get out and enjoy it. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/sport-cultural-and-recreational

25.01.2022 Wet weekend last week, more rain during the week and 4% more in the lake 32.66% last week and 36.39% as of yesterday. #HBC #slowlybutsurely #winterrain #moreplease #lakehume #lookingbetter #sunshine

24.01.2022 NO RACING IN MARCH As much as we loved watching the racing on the weekend, as much as we love racing, as much as wed love to see you all again, we dont have enough water. The Lake is currently at 17.3%. Our official cut off is 18% but ideally it needs to be over 24% for the ramp to be effective with the number of entrants we welcome.... The AUSTRALIAN FORMULA POWERBOAT GRAND PRIX hosted a great weekend of racing across the lake on the weekend but they have some advantages over us- they dont draft the same amount of water that our displacement entrants do and if they do have an incident, they are inclined to float. Fingers crossed and rain dancing when possible as we have plans to run in October after we hopefully have rain over winter. #HBC #localracing #itsabitdry #sadsight #needrain #wemissyou

24.01.2022 Wishing everyone a safe and Merry Christmas. If you are going to enjoy some time on the water, remember to keep safe and dont drink and swim or operate your watercraft. See you in 2020

22.01.2022 A perfect glass surface today and slowly it’s rising. Now over half full. #hbc #mirror #godscountry #covid19 #onedayatatime

22.01.2022 2 weeks and 218,156 ML increase!! From 53.64% to 60.90% What does that equate to?... That amount of water is equal to 71% of Lake Eppalock That same amount of water will fill Lake Mulwala, Torrumbarry Weir, Lake Nillahcootie AND Lake Charm. Thats right, 7.26% of Lake Hume would fill 4 other water storages to the top! So when you look at the lake and think that if doesnt look like there is much water or the % still seems low, just remember that it takes a REALLY large amount of water to fill it (and the predictions are for a wet spring ) #HBC #loveourbackyard #cantcrossthebridgeyet #covid #moreplease

21.01.2022 ..... Sadly many of you cant get over the border to enjoy the great water. Just remember it will be here when the borders open. ... #pictureperfect #hbc #mirror

19.01.2022 Thanks to Mark, Ann-Maree and the Engine Master Australia team for their on going support of the Horsepower on the Hume. Who will win the EMA Hume Boat Club Cup?

18.01.2022 LOOKING FORWARD TO 2021 Its a tough call however we have made it, the annual October "Horsepower on the Hume" wont be held this year. With the rise in COVID cases in Victoria, the time and effort in planning and the concern for the safety of all involved, the responsible decision was to not host a public event, especially with the event being in Victoria and on Vic waters.... We understand that this is disappointing, and it wasnt an easy decision. Keep safe, keep your distance and we will see you in 2021 #HBC #covid #missracing #wishwecouldseeyou #nextyear #biggerandbetter

10.01.2022 Coffee, coffee, coffee Now we know everything will be alright, E&B from the Coast Guard and coffee from here

10.01.2022 Another one from Lake Hume heading to the 2020 Melton Gold Cup. Its a family thing for Shane, with his father Steve Northey having raced here until he took a step back to support Shane and his entry into the sport. Since his first meeting some years ago, Shane has become more and more confident and we wish him all the best at Melton.... We believe this will also be Shanes first river style race. 09.01.2022 Just a reminder of our beautiful piece of paradise that will be waiting for you once this is all over. Its hard to be restricted to your house, to not use your boat or skis, not go fishing or catch up for a BBQ but the time will come and with all this fantastic rain, it will be even better. Keep safe and we look forward to seeing you again when this is all over. ... #HBC #staysafestayhome #willbewaitingforyou #doingitforeveryone #playtimewillcome

08.01.2022 So many options but you cant miss a good E&B roll for breakie

08.01.2022 A bit of history of racing in the lake

08.01.2022 How true is that about racing "recognizing the passion for racing is sometimes based more on the commitment than the result." We appreciate the passion of everyone coming this weekend, both on and off the water. FYI- apparently this photo of the trophy was taken with the parts of The Boss that sadly Shane is still workn on

08.01.2022 Apex Park (aka The Pines) boat ramp is looking good. There’s been piles of rocks and machinery there for some time and now we’ve got all the answers on what the neighbours have been doing. The sides of the ramp have been strengthened to stop erosion and there’s some new solar lights in at the top of the ramps. ... Kudos to the neighbours. Now all we need is the restrictions to be lifted so we can use the lake. #lookinggood #gooduseoftime #keepingupwiththejones #solar #needmorerain

07.01.2022 Water, people and boat racing.

07.01.2022 Racing as been called due to wind. Tomorrow will pick up from where we left off

07.01.2022 62.9% and waiting patiently for summer. A view of the lake as only someone from NSW can enjoy (or if you have a drone ) Have a great weekend

06.01.2022 Almost 70 years later and it looks like the lake might become part of the annual calendar for the AUSTRALIAN FORMULA POWERBOAT GRAND PRIX, one of the APBA clubs. In just under two weeks the AFPGP will be hosting their first round at Lake Hume. The event will be running from the resort and with their new format, weve been told it should be very impressive to see. Thanks to Gramps Duvall for sending us this fantastic piece of Lake Hume history.

06.01.2022 Just as it should be perfect weather clear skies boats on the lake... members enjoying the club 24 80.5% capacity November is starting off as nothing short of ideal. #backyard #nofilter #planningforsummertime #bringiton

05.01.2022 Well miss knowing Greg is sitting out on the boundary this weekend but know he will be looking over the racing cheering on the racers.

03.01.2022 Is there anyone that can help Riley get some time on the water?

03.01.2022 Wed like to wish James all the best at the upcoming 2020 Melton Gold Cup. Jims first circuit was at the Horsepower on the Hume and the bug bit and bit hard. Since then Jim has come a regular here and at other meetings across the state.... Jim, Hope you enjoy Melton and the variety of not racing on a lake. Have fun and we look forward to hearing all about it.

02.01.2022 The countdown is on and the trophys are ready for some talented driver to win. The major race of the weekend is the Workn On It Horsepower on the Hume. This is the last race for the weekend and like previous years, should be a great race.
