24.01.2022 Well this is good news. Driving lessons are allowed under the current lockdown restrictions for Melbourne. Unfortunately if you were booked in for your licence you will have to wait a bit longer. We want everyone to stay safe, so we will continue to review how this effects our L2P program. At the moment L2P is paused again. Keep checking in to see how this all unfolds. Stay well everyone. We will get through this together.

24.01.2022 Our very best wishes for a safe & happy new year.

23.01.2022 Make sure you’ve seen our COVID safety video on our HWLLEN website. This will ensure you are well placed to resume driving ASAP. Www.HWLLEN.com.au/L2P

22.01.2022 TAC L2P Suspension Statement August 2020 Hume Whittlesea Local Learning & Employment Network’s (HWLLEN’s) priority remains the health and wellbeing of the community, including its staff and volunteers. In response to Federal and State Government advice, and in alignment with the Hume City Council Pandemic Plan, the TAC L2P Program has been suspended again to help prevent the spread of COVID19 in our community and amongst our staff and volunteers. In June 2020, we were wor...king towards recommencing the TAC L2P program, in accordance with the ‘Roadmap to a COVID Safe Australia’ and Stage 1 and Stage 2 restrictions. However, due to the second wave of COVID19 in Melbourne, Road Safety Victoria requires that all TAC L2P programs, and their associated activities of driving lessons, driving practice and mentor training be suspended. We know that these constant changes are difficult and frustrating for everyone involved with the program, however our top priority remains on the health and safety of all participants. The HWLLEN and Hume City Council will continue to act on the advice of the Chief Health Officer, taking a harm minimisation approach to COVID-19. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Volunteer Mentors, our learners and our Driving Instructors for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. Please know that we are working behind the scenes to get the TAC L2P program back up and running as soon as it is safe to do so. We are currently well placed to recommence the program quickly once the current health restrictions are lifted. If you are currently on the TAC L2P program waiting list, you will not lose your place on this list. We also want to remind you that both Rachael and Rosie continue to share the TAC L2P Coordinator role. You can reach them as follows: Rachael: 0412 002 320 Rosie: 0407 455 201 Email: [email protected] should you have any questions. Please reach out if you have any questions.

19.01.2022 As part of the L2P return in early July, we had a meeting with our steering committee today. Sorting out all of the safety protocols. We are so looking forward to having our mentors & young people driving together again very soon.

19.01.2022 Have you seen all of the Seasoned Drivers videos? Go check them out. Here’s the one for driving in high winds. Stay safe.

18.01.2022 We had our Steering Committee meeting today but forgot to take a photo. There is so much good work happening behind the scenes. It’s nice to know we are well placed to recommence as soon as it safe to do so. We miss seeing all of your smiling faces.

17.01.2022 So lovely to catch up for our team Xmas lunch. It’s been a crazy year for everyone so it was nice to pause a moment & have a lovely long lunch at Marnong Estate. Gorgeous food, stunning views, lovely wine & of course good company.

17.01.2022 TAC L2P Program Hume Resumption Statement November 2020 Hume Whittlesea Local Learning & Employment Network’s (HWLLEN’s) priority remains the health and wellbeing of the community, including its staff and volunteers. In response to the State Government advice, and in alignment with the Hume City Council Pandemic Plan, we are now pleased to advise that the TAC L2P program Hume is able to recommence in line with the State Governments ‘Roadmap to a COVID Safe Australia’.... In line with the recommendations from Vic Roads and TAC this will be a staged return with quite strict safety and hygiene protocols to keep all of our program participants safe. To recommence in the program all mentors and learners must have viewed the HWLLEN safety video on our website https://www.hwllen.com.au/l2p and been in touch with the TAC L2P coordinator to make a plan for return. We know that these constant changes have been difficult and frustrating for everyone involved with the program, however our top priority will also be the health and safety of all participants. The HWLLEN and Hume City Council will continue to act on the advice of the Chief Health Officer, taking a harm minimisation approach to COVID-19. There have also been some changes within our personnel on the TAC L2P program with Rachael starting her maternity leave and Rosie finishing up. If you have any enquiries about the program in the short term please contact: Phone: 9309 5500 or Email: [email protected] Please reach out if you have any questions.

08.01.2022 During what’s been a very different and challenging year for all of us, our customer service staff have continued to help keep Victorians moving. Some of our in...credible customer service staff shared what they had found challenging & rewarding throughout the year, and it’s clear that the patience and understanding shown by customers has been a highlight for many. So thank you, Victoria, for showing patience and kindness to our staff- whether in person, online or over the phone. Get to know some of our team here: https://bit.ly/3m8QGbR

06.01.2022 Repost #inthepassengerseat Help your students avoid problems when purchasing a second-hand vehicle privately by letting them know about the Australian Government $2 PPSR used car check. The check can let them know if the vehicle they are considering buying is safe from possible repossession. It can tell them if the vehicle is free from debt or if it has been reported as written-off or stolen and if part of the faulty Takata airbag recall. ...
