09.01.2022 Time to get creative with what you look forward to in 2021 in Scouts. Hume Region is holding a badge design competition for a badge which every returning youth member may receive next year when they get into all the fun adventurous activities Scouting has to offer. There are two categories in this competition, one for youth members and one for adult members (rovers, leaders and supporters). The winner of the youth category will win a Scout Show Bag (RRP $90) and the winner of... the adults category will win a Scout Shop E-Gift Card valued at $50. The badge needs to demonstrate what you want to do in 2021 on your journey with Scouts, possibly a catch phrase which could be used to start the new year with like I’m back for more adventures or Hello Scouts of 2021. Enter by email to [email protected] providing your Member number (if you know it), Name, Scout Group and best contact, whether mobile or email. Competition closes on Sunday 13th December 2020. Have fun whilst being creative. Looking forward to receiving your entry.

08.01.2022 On this day 7 years ago it was raining all day, but that didn't stop the Cubs having fun while learning to canoe. We will be back out on the water in larger groups hopefully soon, so get ready for some fun Region event when we can.

05.01.2022 Have you seen Ben on Junior Masterchef ? Did you want to find out what he was talking about when he said he is in Cubs. Check out the video and msg us for more details or go to our web page humescouts.com

04.01.2022 Cycling is one of the Outdoor Adventure Skills and with the days getting longer, Term 4 is a great time to include cycling activities in your programs. You do ...not need additional qualifications if you are running a cycling night with your youth members and will be riding in your local urban area, including on local bike paths. You will need a Cycling Level 2 qualification if you want to ride off-road (Mountain Biking) or venture further afield such as for a bike hike or adventurous journey (Cycle Touring). If you are at all unsure about your activity, write a plan and risk assessment and discuss it with your Region Commissioner Activities. They can advise you on whether you need the Level 2 qualification.

03.01.2022 Get your kids out from behind the screens and into the great outdoors , make new friends and more real world experiences . Msg me or go to joinscouts.com.au for more details
