21.01.2022 Renovation Update #2 Where's Andrew? Can you pick which rooms he is giving the 'official' thumbs-up ? Work continued this past week on our Above and Beyond 2020 In House projects. Our builders and volunteers have been hard at work cutting and removing concrete, adding new walls and doorways with framing and gyprock going up, and preparing for new floors.... To say we are excited would be an understatement!

19.01.2022 ICCM Update At the start of November, Super Typhoon Goni pummelled the Phillippines. It is reported that the storms made landfall with maximum wind speeds of 310 km/hr near its centre. Extreme rainfall has submerged entire towns with many homes destroyed and people missing. Thankfully, the staff and students at ICCM (International Christian College of Manilla) are all safe and are heavily involved in supporting their local communities in this difficult time. The ICCM co...llege facilities have only suffered minor damage and flooding. However, a water pump, installed by a Humeridge team a number of years ago to move groundwater in one area of the property, has failed. This has caused a significant volume of water to pool and, while it has not impacted the facilities yet, has the potential to cause flooding and damage if the pump is not replaced. The generous giving of a number of HumeRidge families has meant that we have been able to support ICCM with the purchase and installation of a new pump. The ICCM staff have expressed their appreciation not only for the financial but also for the prayerful support of HumeRidge during this uncertain period.

17.01.2022 Short Version: Church: In-House is still on but if you've been in Brisbane this last week, please join us online instead Longer version: With the Premier’s announcement this morning of a 3-day lockdown of the Greater Brisbane area, we have been closely monitoring the advice from Queensland Health as it relates to our region.... At this stage, our Sunday service will still be going ahead, both in house and online. We look forward to welcoming guest speaker, 'Skip' Smith from Alpha, who will be joining us via live-stream. In the interests of your health and that of the HumeRidge community, the advice from Queensland Health is that you refrain from attending the service in person if: You have been to the Greater Brisbane area including Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Redlands and Logan since the 2nd January 2021. You are feeling unwell or have any symptoms in which case can we encourage you to get tested immediately and quarantine at home until you receive results. We’d love you to join us online! We are continuing to stream our services 9am each Sunday on YouTube (link will be posted here tomorrow morning). We are aware that this situation may change over the course of the weekend. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.

05.01.2022 Today is R U OK day! We know that being a Christian does not make us immune to life's struggles and the Bible talks about the importance of coming alongside each other. In Galatians 6:2 we read that we are to "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.". Jesus also instructs us that "Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. (John 13:34b-35). ...
