24.01.2022 Recently we had 3 Hume members participate at the Benghazi race on Anzac Day with mixed results. You can view the race results at the attached link. Also a reminder that Northern Vets are staging Chooka's Race on Sunday May 19th at Broadford so not too far to journey for a race event. 18.01.2022 This email is to outline how the AVCC ruling to change the age limit for Male members to 30 years old took place. Aug 15th 2018: South Australia Masters Cycling Association (SAMCA) put forward an agenda item for the AVCC Special General Meeting to ‘change the age limit for Male members to 30 years old’ Aug 18th 2018: VCV emailed all Club Secretaries and Delegates seeking their Club’s to get input from their members and for their Club’s vote on this. The majority of clubs v...oted in favour of this. Sept 8th 2018: AVCC held a Special General Meeting where the above motion was put. The majority of States/ Delegates voted in favour of this. This was then to be incorporated in the new AVCC Constitution to be voted on at the 2019 AGM. Dec 12th 2018: VCV members were sent an email advising them of and inviting them to the VCV AGM on 30th January, where amongst other things, a Special Resolution was to be voted on to allow the VCV to comply with the impending AVCC Constitution change for 30 years old males. Jan 30th 2019: At the VCV AGM this resolution was carried with the required 75% plus majority. May 4th 2019: At the AVCC AGM there was a Special Resolution to adopt the new Constitution, which included the allowance for 30 years old males to be members. This was carried with the required 75% plus majority of State Delegates vote. May 17th 2019: AVCC notified all States that the new AVCC Constitution was lodges and approved by Consumer Affairs Victoria. This now allowing for 30 years old males to be a member. VCV notified all Club Secretaries and Delegate of this and posts to this effect were made on various Facebook pages. This has taken place over a long period of time. The final outcome and announcement should not have come as a surprise. All of us are entitled to our opinions, but we should respect due process and the majority vote. Should you have any questions about this please consult with your Club Executive, they have been included in the entire process. Regards Clive Coomber VCV Secretary

05.01.2022 Hi All After a summer break l feel it is important to let members know where and what we are up to. At present there have been several changes to rules, regulations and referee status with the Veterans Association. This is something that has impeded us from running events the way we have in the past. Moving forward we are planning to comply with the new changes and schedule our trophy events to be run through the second half of the year so please stay tuned for updates on Fac...ebook and the Website. We will also be scheduling our AGM very soon so you will be notified of that meeting. If you would like to assist or contribute in any way please do not hesitate to contact me via e mail as your input would valuable, welcomed and much appreciated.
