12.01.2022 This week I’m focusing on how to create evangelists out of your customers by surprising and delighting them. I love this quote from Richard Branson, as it’s a great way to get started on turning customers into fans. Set expectations and go one better in a surprising way - so simple but so effective. One of the best memories I have in terms of business travel is when I was booked on a regular seat to fly London to San Francisco on Virgin Airways many years ago. I got the best surprise when I was asked if I minded swapping seats and found myself at the front of the plane in Upper Class drinking champers and booking in a neck and shoulder massage. Expectations met and then fully exceeded! I’ll never stop raving about that. Small gestures can also create evangelists. What do you do for your customers that makes them surprised or delighted?
