23.01.2022 Second last junior clinic for the term today!

23.01.2022 We will be running a new badge draw format from tonight! The badge draw will now cap at $2000. The $50 per week will be added to a secondary draw. Every week the badge draw doesn't go off, the $50 will be added to the secondary draw. Should the $2000 go off, the week after will be the amount of the secondary draw! In this manner, we will never revert to the old $50 starting point, and there should be a reserve to keep everyone in with a chance! Example:... Tonight, the badge draw is $2000. The secondary draw is $250 ($200 restart and the $50 from last week). It doesn't go off tonight, that means next week, up for grabs will be a $2000 badge draw, $300 secondary draw building up! 12.01.2022 Local lad Kel McLachlan has been growing his hair out for almost 4 years to take part in "World's Greatest Shave" to raise money for blood cancer research. We will host Kel's shave here at the club on Saturday 28th November at 6pm. We will also have collection tins on our bar in the lead up to the big shave. 03.01.2022 HDGC has a mutually rewarding relationship with Taminmin College and in particular, their automotive VET teacher Brendan Flynn and his students. Not only is he one of our social hackers, he also works on our older buggies and trains the class in another dynamic that is automotive. When we heard another teacher had nominated him for the VET teacher/trainer of the year, we happily wrote an endorsement for Brendan. We were lucky to be there last night to support him at the awar...ds and although totally blown away when he was announced the winner, we were not surprised. Brendans work with the disadvantaged youth in our community is a passion that we admire and encourage. Well done Brendan, from all of us, completely deserved win mate! Onto the nationals, yahooooo!!
