25.01.2022 BEWARE! Scam alert Not only do people need to be aware of the risks of buying from backyard breeders, but we’ve also just become aware of another scam! Flashy website, lots of information about the breeds they ‘breed’ but a quick look to an axperienced eye shows the contradictions, heavy inclusion of American information, etc. Said to be based in NT Please feel free to contact the breed clubs or state registering body to confirm the authenticity of breeders. You may save yourself the disappointment and cost of being scammed

23.01.2022 2021 calendars are a sell out. Just over 150 calendars sold. Mine just arrived in the mail and this is the first year I haven’t been one of the first to see them Big thanks to Sissi & Daniel for doing the hard slog of preparing and posting. It’s a fiddly job and heavy carting them all to the PO. They have also been responsible for the design work and I think this might be my favourite HVCNSW calendar yet! Love it! We have a number of ‘worker bees’ in our Club and we are always grateful for their willingness to contribute. Back to the calendar.... those wonderful drawings by John Butler have been generously gifted to the Club by John. They are on quality archival art paper and suitable for framing. We think that they will look great framed and so maybe next year we can do another online fund raiser raffle! Stay tuned in 2021.

21.01.2022 Why buy from an ANKC registered breeder? What do you get that you don’t get from an unregistered backyard breeder? Apart from a registered certified pedigree, giving guarantee of being purebred, hopefully from health tested ‘proven’ parents? From someone who is bound by a Code of Ethics that imposes minimal standards of practice? You get educated about the needs of Vizslas and you get SUPPORT! After talking to a mother of a young family with a 10 week old male puppy that is... overwhelming them, and the u/r BYB breeder is not interested. Well, they have their money, don’t they!? Time after time we hear of this situation. And once again those who truly love the breed will support the owners and try to help them find a solution Please STOP supporting people like this. 04.01.2022 Yes, we know that puppies are harder to get at the moment. Be aware that when people describe their puppies as ‘purebred’ ‘no papers’ that you are dealing with backyard breeders who will not have health tested the parents (not a local vet check, but hip & elbow xrays to minimise opportunity for puppies with hip and elbow dysplasia) and are not interested in breed welfare. And to be asking $4500 for these puppies is pure dollar focus. Buyer beware - wait for a puppy from et...hical ANKC registered breeders, who health test their breeding dogs, raise their puppies with care and love, and support puppy buyers.
