24.01.2022 It has now been 12 months since HS officially closed down. September 2011 (the REAL 09/11) was a dark, and unforgiving time for many of us. May the nang bangs and late night greasy binges still be carried on in your honour. Hungry Spot- RIP

22.01.2022 DEAR HUNGRY SPOT, YOU HAVE BEEN CLOSED FOR A REALLY LONG TIME NOW AND IT HASN'T MADE THE HEALING PROCESS ANY EASIER. I LIVE SO CLOSE TO THE ABANDONED BUILDING WHICH ONCE WAS FILLED WITH LIFE, WITH LOVE, WITH SALMONELLA. ... I WALK BY AND SHED A TEAR. I WALK BY ON MY WAY TO EZY PLUS INGLEWOOD TO BUY MY NANGS. THEY DON'T SEEM TO GET ME AS HIGH ANYMORE. PERHAPS IT'S THE GRIEF OF HAVING TO TRAVEL SO FAR ONLY TO GET JUDGED BY A MIDDLE AGED SERVICE ATTENDANT WHO ASKS "WHAT DO YOU MEAN A 'SLEEVE'?". I'VE HAD TO FIND A NEW JOINT TO TAKE GUYS ON FIRST DATES. I USED TO FIGURE, IF THEY'RE STILL ATTRACTED TO ME AFTER I EAT AN ENTIRE CHIPS AND GRAVY PIZZA THEN THEY'RE 'THE ONE' (TO TAKE MY CLOTHES OFF TO) AND PROCEED WITH SECOND DATES. SINCE YOU CLOSED I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. CRUST PIZZA UP THE ROAD IS JUST WAY TOO FUCKING EXPENSIVE. I GUESS WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY, IS YOU'VE STAYED IN MY HEART, MY MEMORIES, AND MY ARTERIES SINCE YOU LEFT AND I SURE HOPE YOU HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ME EITHER. R.I.P XOXO

22.01.2022 My last visit to Hungry Spot was when I lived down the road, and walked there one early morning to purchase a sleeve of nangs in a silk nightie and over sized jumper (too early for actual clothes). It was the morning after a gig at the Rosemount. I was passing time eating 80c giant pythons whilst waiting for a taxi to take me off to a friends house in Leederville to drink more. I was armed with a see-through plastic bag showing only my cream dispenser and nang boxes. The taxi driver asked me if I was on my way to work. He could have been talking the piss, although I'm preeeety sure he thought I was a prostitute. PLEASE SHARE YOUR LAST MEMORY/PURCHASE AT HS TO MARK THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ITS SAD DEMISE :(

19.01.2022 3 years to the day since the deep fried, gravy smothered, N2O filled cord was cut and Hungry Spot became but a distant memory. Well, memories should be kept alive darn it!
