12.01.2022 Baa Baa's registration for the 2021 Coffs Coast Rugby 10s Challenge (June 28th, 29th, 30th) will go live this Friday 4th December. As part of our "Kids Helping Kids" fundraising campaign in 2021 we will be raising money for RUN DIPG to help them fight Children's brain cancer. To find out more about RUN DIPG go to their website:... https://rundipg.org/ For the 2021 carnival we will be aiming to field two teams in each of the following confirmed age groups: - U10s - U11s - U12s - U13s - U14s - U15s Teams are set a 15 players each (This is a 10-a-side carnival) so that's 180 spots to fill. If we get enough for three teams in an age group we will enter three. Teams can be boys, girls or mixed it will all depend on registration numbers. We will also be taking Expressions of Interest from players aged U16 to U18 in case Waratahs Rugby (NSW Rugby) add these age groups to the Carnival. This is NOT a Rep team. We don't have trials and we don't train before the Carnival. All players of all abilities from any club and any sport (Insurance covers non-rugby players) in the World are welcome to register, the more the merrier. We are expecting an insurance increase in 2021 so to try and pre-empt that registrations will be set at $130 per player, and increase of $10. Once costs are deducted any money left from registrations will go to RUN DIPG. Each player will receive a Jersey, pair of Shorts and Training Shirt (you wear your club socks) and Carnival entry. Player registration links as well as Team Staff links will be posted on our Facebook page on Friday.

04.01.2022 There are no treatment options for DIPG. To change this, RUN DIPG support focussed, medical research to better understand the disease, and to find or develop tr...eatments. Time-consuming and expensive, your help means lab-based research findings can move through the development pipeline and into the clinic at a more rapid rate. This is an absolute must for a disease whose median survival is measured in months! We continue to support the work of Dr Matt Dun at the University of Newcastle, Hunter Medical Research Institute, and hope to see the 'DMG-ACT' clinical trial open in 2021.
