23.01.2022 Announcement from DrillDance Australia Due to the ongoing restrictions, an unprecedented decision has been made by DDA. . . Nationals 2020 has officially been cancelled ... Thank you to all those who have supported Hunter throughout the 2019/2020 season, which hasn’t been an easy one with fires, floods and a pandemic, and several of our events cancelled. Despite the difficulties we faced, our teams have worked super hard this season and they have been marching and dancing so beautifully! We are so sad we won’t get to see everyone perform at nationals and show off all our beautiful routines, uniforms and costumes. See you all in the 2020/2021 season

For our Hunter junior teams, it will our first ever nationals and we are all so excited, not only to perform our awesome routines for everyone, but also to watch all the other teams from around Australia. It’s going to be an amazing experience for our teams and we are looking forward to seeing you all there!

18.01.2022 Due to the ongoing and unpredictable threat of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) DrillDance NSW State Titles has been postponed. Updates will be shared as soon as we know more. This season has been our toughest by far, in all my years in the sport. Fires halted our first event. We almost got flooded out of our second event. And now a pandemic has swept the world and made the remainder of our season uncertain. ... Let’s hope for some reprieve on all fronts soon!

14.01.2022 DRILLDANCE AUSTRALIA ANNOUNCEMENT ON COVID-19 (Coronavirus) DrillDance Australia would like to assure the DrillDance Community that we are closely monitoring th...e COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Whilst the situation is constantly evolving, the health and wellbeing of the DrillDance community our DrillDance team members, coaches, team co-ordinators, judges and officials is paramount and the potential impact on our personnel is at the forefront of any decision made. The DDA Board has been discussing and investigating options and taken the following into consideration: The Government recommendations and ban around gatherings of 500 people or more The possibility that the venue for the event may not be in a position to host the event due to current government recommendations and bans The risk of travel for our members during this time Our duty of care to all members After careful consideration the DDA Board wishes to advise that the 2020 Australian DrillDance Championships to be held in the Gold Coast in April are at this stage postponed and an announcement of those details will be made on or before this Tuesday evening. The option being considered and investigated at this point in time is a postponement to late November 2020 in the Gold Coast. We suggest that whilst our members wait for further advice they investigate their options around travel plans and accommodation arrangements. States should also consider cancelling their State Championships and how they might manage an extended season. 03.01.2022 Happy Birthday to Hunter DrillDance!! Today, it is exactly six years since Hunter DrillDance was formally approved & welcomed into the sport by DrillDance New South Wales and DrillDance Australia. In 2014, I took a chance and started a brand new club in the Hunter Valley NSW. I had absolutely nobody & absolutely nothing to start with, but with my first beautiful team of seniors we made it all the way to the competition floor at Nationals in Bendigo 2015 in the first se...ason. Hunter DrillDance has teams in two age groups. Our Junior and Intermediate teams are really excited to be going to their first nationals in 2021, having missed 2020 due to cancellation. We have some really exciting things happening behind the scenes, and I am super excited about what the future holds for our club. I have a brilliant team behind me off the field and none of this would be possible without them. The support I have behind the scenes is truly amazing and I feel so spoilt to have them by my side. Thank you to every single person who has ever been a part of Hunter DrillDance so far, as a member or a supporter. You have all helped make it what it is today; a supportive, fun, family club.
